Rocker keyswitch
Abstract
The rocker switch (10) has at least one contact point (28,30) contg. at least one fixed contact piece on a circuit board (36) and a movable contact piece acted upon by a restoring spring parallel to the circuit board. The contact point has an associated movable actuation plate (32,34) arranged perpendicular to the plane of the circuit board. The switch rocker (24) has a journal (16) formed on its side remote from the contact point. The journal interacts with an actuation element (46) which can be displaced parallel to the circuit board.

p0001The invention relates to a rocker switch with a least one contact point which is formed by at least one arranged on a printed circuit board fixed contact piece and from one acted upon by an arranged parallel to the PCB return spring movable contact piece which is connected to the return spring and is actuated by a rocker switch.
p0002A rocker switch with at least one arranged on a printed circuit board pad is known from JP 50 41 141. The operation of the contact point takes place here by means of an integrally formed on the switching rocker cam which acts on the form of a contact spring movable contact against the fixed contact.
p0003This configuration of a rocker switch is so far unfavorable, as the operation of the contact point depends on the position of the switching rocker, which can cause minor shifts due to tolerance-related deviations to maloperations.
p0004Starting from this prior art, the object of the invention to provide a rocker switch of the aforementioned type, which is as simple as possible, and its function is ensured even if as a result of large-scale production tolerances. Also to be transverse to the shifting direction of the movable contact possible actuation.
p0005This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. is Accordingly, provided that a vertically movable to the PCB plane plate is at least one point of contact for its actuation associated that the rocker is provided with a switching pin which is integrally formed at its the least remote from a contact point side, and that the trip cam parallel with the circuit board movable actuator cooperates.
p0006With the help of the probe according to the invention is achieved over the prior art in that the operating safety of a contact point is improved by incorporation of a ram at least and that, moreover, in a simple example, a force deflection for actuating the contact point is possible.
p0007Advantageously, two contact points are arranged side by side, which can be operated alternately by the switching rocker in development of the invention.
p0008A preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized by a housing in which the printed circuit board a contact point as well as the switching rocker are arranged with the at least.
p0009Further, it may be beneficial to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, that the circuit board is connected to a base which can be snapped into the casing, which expediently also the rocker switch is locked in the housing.
p0010In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention is taken to ensure that the rocker switch is water protected by the housing is finished to the rocker out with a membrane, wherein the one plate for actuating the contact point of the rocker under between circuit of Memran is at least at least operable. This means that the membrane formed from a more or less resilient, tear resistant film emanating from the switching rocker impingement transmits to the relevant plate, without thereby that the membrane is damaged or has an opening for the plate.
p0011According to an embodiment of the rocker switch speziellel an edge is formed on the housing on the actuating side which encloses the switching rocker all around, with only the integrally formed on the switching rocker switching pin projects beyond the edge.
p0012For a simplified assembly locking projections are formed on the housing, which allow the locking to a mounting surface.
p0013Another embodiment of the invention, the fixed and movable contacts can be selectively connected to flat connectors, with Kabellötanschlüssen or with another circuit board, soft turn has corresponding power connectors in the latter case, by means of which carried the electrical connection of the rocker switch.
p0014These and other advantageous embodiments and improvements of the invention are subject of the claims.
p0015The invention, advantageous refinements and improvements and other advantages of the invention will be explained and described in more detail with reference to an exemplary embodiment of a rocker switch according to the invention shown in the schematic drawing.
p0016Show it:

Fig. 1

a side view of a housed in a housing rocker switch according to the invention with Kabelanschlußlötösen;

FIG. 2

the rocker switch according to FIG. 1 in longitudinal section but with solder pins soldered into a printed circuit board and

Fig. 3

a seitlicheTeilansicht the terminal portion of the rocker switch according to the invention with flat connectors.

p0017In Fig. 1, an inventive rocker switch 10 is shown in side view disposed in a housing 12 and locked by means of latching projections 14 therein. The casing covers all the other details of the rocker switch 10 with the exception of protruding top in FIG. 1 switching pin 16 and at the bottom of the housing 12 above, here designed as a cable termination solder lugs 18 electrical connection contacts 20.
p0018In Fig. 2 of the rocker switch 10 shown in FIG. 1 in a side view is shown in longitudinal section. As the display is seen to be mounted within the housing 22 to a mounting surface 12 first, a rocker switch 24 is disposed, which at situated at the longitudinal sides locking cam 26 is pivotable, which can be seen in Fig.1. Including two juxtaposed contact pads 28, 30 are disposed which are actuated by means of two plates 32, 34th
p0019The contact points 28, 30 are in turn attached to a first circuit board 36, which is connected to a socket 38 which is latched in the housing 12th For electrical connection of the circuit board 36 and the contact pads 28, 30 soldering pins 40 are provided, which engage in a second circuit board 42nd
p0020At the top of the housing 12 of the switching pin 16 extends through a in the mounting surface provided for this purpose recess 44. Outside the mounting surface is on the switching pin 16, a transversely displaceable actuation member 46 mounted in the form of a hat-shaped cap, is carried out with which the actuation of the rocker switch 24 and therefore a switching action, that is, the actuation of one of the two contact points 28, 30th
p0021In Fig. 3 finally shows an alternative embodiment of the electrical connector contacts 20 is shown by means of flat plug terminals 48. The other arrangement of the hereby provided rocker switch is as previously described.
