Reagent management method and apparatus therefor

Abstract

This invention relates to an autoanalyzer in which the analyzable number of times is managed corresponding to each reagent bottle to prevent data abnormality from occurring as a result of reagent deterioration caused by reagent replenishment, or the like, to thereby make it possible to preform higher accurate analysis management. Before an analyzing operation is executed by an analyzer, the term of validation of each reagent bottle set in the analyzer is checked. If the term expires, the use of a reagent in the reagent bottle is stopped. Further, the identification code of each used reagent bottle is stored in a memory so that the use of a reagent in the used reagent bottle is prohibited when the used reagent bottle is set on a reagent disk again.

10 claims: 2 independent, 8 dependent

  1. 1
A reagent management method in which a reagent solution corresponding to an analytical item is distributively injected from a plurality of reagent solution bottles used for analysis of a plurality of analytical items into a reaction cell and in which the conditions of use of the respective reagent solutions are monitored, characterized by the steps of:registering information for identification of used reagent solution bottle in a storage portion in advance;judging by a judgment means whether a reagent solution cell set in a reagent setting portion has been registered or not;and outputting an alarm when the judgment proves that said reagent solution cell is registered as a used one.
  2. 2
A reagent management method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the distributively injecting operation by means of a reagent distributive injector is disabled for the reagent solution bottle registered as a used one.
  3. 3
A reagent management method according to Claim 1, characterized in that even in the case where a reagent solution bottle is registered as a used one, a reagent in the used reagent solution bottle is distributively injected into a reaction cell by means of a reagent distributive injector, and a reaction solution obtained in the reaction cell by mixing a sample therein with the reagent is measured so that the result of measurement is outputted with warning information.
  4. 4
A reagent management method according to Claim 1, characterized in that when the quantity of a solution in a specific reagent solution bottle is decreased to a predetermined limit value by repetition of the reagent distributively injecting operation, the identification information of the specific reagent solution bottle is registered into said storage portion.
  5. 5
A reagent management method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the state of decrease of a reagent in each reagent solution bottle in the reagent distributively injecting operation is monitored so that when the quantity of a solution in a specific reagent solution bottle is increased to be larger than that in the previous cycle of distributive injection, the identification information of the specific reagent solution bottle is registered into said storage portion.
  6. 6
A reagent management method according to Claim 1, characterized in that information concerning the term of validation is given to each reagent solution bottle in advance so that when a reagent solution bottle is set in a reagent setting position, a judgment is made as to whether the term of validation of the reagent solution bottle expires or not, and a warning is outputted when the judgement proves that the term of validation of the reagent solution bottle expires.
  7. 7
A reagent management method according to Claim 1, characterized by the steps of giving information concerning the term of validation to each reagent solution bottle in advance;judging by a judgment means whether the term of validation of a reagent solution bottle set in a reagent setting position expires or not at the time of setting the reagent solution bottle;and outputting a warning when the judgment proves that the term of validation of the reagent solution bottle expires.
  8. 8
A reagent management method according to Claim 7, characterized in that the distributive injecting operation by means of a reagent distributive injector is disabled for the reagent solution bottle which is proved to have expired term of validation.
  9. 9
A reagent management apparatus comprising a reagent setting portion in which a plurality of reagent solution bottles are set correspondingly to a plurality of analytical items, a distributive injection means for distributively injecting a reagent solution corresponding to an analytical item into a reaction cell, and a monitor means for monitoring the respective conditions of use of reagent solutions, characterized in that said apparatus further comprises:a storage means having a used-reagent-solution-cell memory area for storing identification information of used reagent solution bottles;a judgment means for judging whether the identification information of a reagent solution bottle set in said reagent setting portion is registered into said used-reagent-solution-bottle memory area or not, at the time of setting the reagent solution bottle;and a warning output means for outputting a warning when the judgement by said judgment means proves that the identification information of the reagent solution bottle has been registered into said used-reagent-solution-bottle memory area.
  10. 10
A reagent management apparatus according to Claim 9, characterized in that said apparatus further comprises a reading means for reading information of the term of validation given to each reagent solution bottle so that when the term of validation of a reagent solution bottle read by said reading means expires, a warning is outputted by said warning output means.
