Floating element for guiding sheets in a printing machine or the like
Abstract
The element has a rod-shaped housing (1) of sheet metal with a U-section underpart (1a) and an upper part (1b) containing a row of nozzles (2). The overlapped edges of the two parts form an airtight seal. An ejector (3) at one end is connected to the interior space and supplied with air under pressure from an air line (4). The source of compressed air is a high-speed fan with an integrated electric drive control program which allows reversal so that a sheet may be guided by either blowing or suction.

p0001The invention relates to a floating member to the sheet guide in a sheet-fed machine base, in particular in a printing machine, according to the preamble of claim 1.
p0002are known floating elements that are used in holders or guides of the printing press between printing units or in the region of the sheet delivery to especially improve the sheet guidance at critical points. Floating elements are used in various training for floating arch support on an air cushion, the sheet tensioning, smoothing arc, the sheet brakes, by suction to the Mid-withdrawing sheet transport. They consist of a mostly rod-shaped, fixed in the machine housing at the arch leading Auβenseite arranged air nozzles and can be connected to the compressed air system and / or the suction system of the machine housing interior. The necessary use of such floating elements depends in hoheml extent on the nature of the printing material, but also of operating conditions. Floating elements are therefore required depending on the nature of the outstanding order for different tasks at different locations. Often unneeded floaters are disturbing in the way. Air is supplied by external actuation with compressed air or with a vacuum.
p0003The object of the invention to design a floating element of the aforementioned type can be used either as a compact block in different areas.
p0004This object is according to the invention in training features according to claim. 1
p0005It is provided by the invention features a deployable anywhere a printing machine floating element, which is in his own business effectively and thus not dependent on existing pneumatic or Saugluftanschlüsse. A floating element with the features of the invention will subsequently at any point of an arc machine base, in particular a printing press, can be used, namely the arc distances, sheet brake, accelerate or bow bow performing, especially when Umführen, rolling or holding.
p0006Preferably, each suspension element is equipped with a high-speed fan or optionally also with several high-speed blown, having an electric motor drive with an integrated in the machine program control program. The blower or any floating element is preferably in the direction of rotation reversible so that either compressed air or suction air can be supplied to the sheet guide by the integrated drive control program.
p0007Preferably an education is a reasonably flat housing in sandwich construction, thus accommodating a floating element with the inventive features in confined spaces is possible. Optionally floaters from air-conducting housing parts and other, the air source receiving housing parts can be assembled. A further embodiment of the invention provides that a plurality of air-conducting housing parts, and optionally also a plurality of respective air source receiving housing parts are connectable to one another in such a way that complementary coupling members in the manner of a plug-in coupling automatically connecting terminals of the casing parts cause to one another. Moreover, it can be provided that complementary coupling parts of an electrical connection coupling are provided both on the machine and on housing parts of the suspension elements which automatically make electrical contact between the motorized drive means of the floating element during assembly of the floating elements. An optimization of the design can be achieved by adjusting the nozzle of the fan characteristic curves and characteristics.
p0008In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of two embodiments of the invention being illustrated.
p0009Figures 1 and 2 respectively show side views of different floating elements with the features of the invention.
p00101 shows a floating member made of a rod-shaped sheet metal housing 1, which consists of a cross-sectionally approximately U-shaped lower part (1a) and a the top of which tightly seals the upper part (1b), said upper part at intervals from each other and in series one behind the other tuyeres 2 having. Upper part and lower part of the sheet metal housing are connected at edges overlapping with each other air-tightly. At a front end of the elongated housing 1 is coupled in the embodiment with an ejector 3, which is connected to the air-conducting interior of the housing first In the case of the embodiment, the ejector 3 is connected via a compressed air line 4 with a correspondingly dimensioned pressure air source or optionally also with a correspondingly high pretension under compressed air system of a machine. In place of the ejector 3 may be provided in a housing part and a blower or the like, as was explained earlier.
p0011The embodiment in Figure 2 shows a floating element, which also has in accordance with the example in Figure 1, a rod-shaped housing. 1 The housing is connected to a blower 5, which has an electric motor drive, whereby its direction of action is preferably reversible, in order to use the same floating member for both the sheet guide with compressed air as well as for the sheet guide can have suction air. The electric motor drives the blower 5 or possibly more fans, are programmable, so that the control programs can be integrated into the machine control program. In the area of the arrows shown in Figure 2 air outlet nozzles, suction nozzles or the like are arranged.
