15 claims: 2 independent, 13 dependent

  1. 1
A film for packaging, stretched two to six times in both directions, having a thickness of not more than 40 µm and comprising surface layers each made of a polypropylene-based resin and an intermediate layer disposed therebetween made of a polyamide resin material comprising 2 to 60% by weight of aromatic polyamide resin and having thickness of 10 to 80% of the overall thickness of the biaxially stretched film, the film having a shear peel strength of not less than 0.40 kg/cm 2 and a 180° peel strength of not higher than 4.0 g/50 mm, the shear peel strength and 180° peel strength values being obtained by:placing two pieces of sample film one on the other lightly, then pressing the two pieces down by a 25 mm diameter and 150 mm wide roll under a linear pressure of 0.3 kg/cm, for the shear peel strength, measuring the force required for shear peeling the two pieces of film from each other within five minutes, and for the 180° peel strength, measuring the force required for peeling the two pieces of film from each other in the direction of 180°.
  2. 4
A film according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the surface layers each comprise (A) 3 to 40 parts by weight of polybutene or polyisobutylene, (B) 0.2 to 10 parts by weight of an anti-fogging agent and (C) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a release agent, based on 100 parts by weight of the polypropylene-based resin.
  3. 5
A film according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the polypropylene-based resin is a propylene-ethylene co-polymer.
  4. 8
A film according to any one of claims 1 to 7, having a five-layer structure of polypropylene-based resin/acid-modified polyolefin resin/polyamide resin containing aromatic polyamide resin/ acid-modified polyolefin resin/polypropylene-based resin.
  5. 9
A film according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the polypropylene-based resin has a melt flow rate of 0.5 to 10 g/10 min and a density of 0.89 to 0.91 g/cm 2 .
  6. 15
A biaxially stretched film for packaging, having a thickness of not more than 40 µ m and comprising surface layers each made of a polypropylene-based resin and an intermediate layer disposed therebetween made of a polyamide resin material comprising 2 to 60% by weight of aromatic polyamide resin and having thickness of 10 to 80% of the overall thickness of the biaxially stretched film, which film is obtained by a process comprising a coextrusion step, a step of quenching of the extruded film and a stretching step, the film having a shear peel strength of not less than 0.40 kg/cm 2 and a 180° peel strength of not more than 4.0 g/50 mm, the shear peel strength and 180° peel strength values being obtained by:placing two pieces of sample film one on the other lightly, then pressing the two pieces down by a 25 mm diameter and 150 mm wide roll under a linear pressure of 0.3 kg/cm, for the shear peel strength, measuring the force required for shear peeling the two pieces of film from each other within five minutes, and for the 180° peel strength, measuring the force required for peeling the two pieces of film from each other in the direction of 180°.
