R eine reaktive Gruppe ist, die in einer wäßrigen Umgebung stabil ist und eine spezifische Reaktivität in einer wäßrigen Umgebung mit einer Einheit aufweist, die nicht Wasser ist, wobei die Anzahl, im modifizierten polymeren Tensid, der hydrophilen Seitenblöcke mit daran gebundenen -O-R-Gruppen (R-O-PEO-) und der hydrophilen Seitenblöcke mit daran gebundenen nicht-umgesetzten -O-H-Gruppen (HO-PEO-) und des hydrophoben Blocks (PPO) im Molekül repräsentiert wird durch:         c (HO-PEO) : d (R-O-PEO) : b (PPO), worin b, c und d die Anzahl der Blöcke im Tensid sind und b eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 3 ist, (c + d) eine ganze Zahl zwischen 1 und 6 ist, c eine ganze Zahl zwischen 0 und 5 ist und d wenigstens 1 ist, wobei PEO der hydrophile Block aus Poly(ethylenoxid) ist und die Formel besitzt:         -(-C2H4-O-)u-, wobei u in jedem PEO-Block im Molekül identisch oder verschieden ist und zwischen 50 und 150 liegt, wobei PPO der hydrophobe Block aus Poly(propylenoxid) ist und die Formel besitzt:         -(-C3H6-O-)v, wobei v in jedem PPO-Block im Molekül identisch oder verschieden ist und zwischen 25 und 75 liegt.     A method for forming a hydrophilic surface having a specific chemical reactivity on a hydrophobic substrate, which method comprises; (a) providing a hydrophobic substrate, the hydraphobic substrate characterized as having a surface water contact angle greater than 60°,(b) providing a polymeric surfactant with substantially no reactivity to biopolymers, the surfactant characterized as having at least one pendant hydrophilic block of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) with one end attached directly or by bridging structures to a hydrophobic block of poly(propylene oxide) (PPO) and the other end attached to pendant -O-H groups, the number of the pendant hydrophilic blocks (PEO) with attached -O-H groups (H-O-PEO) and the hydrophobic blocks (PPO) in the molecule being represented by;         c (H-O-PEO):b (PPO) where b and e are the number of the blocks in the molecule, and b is an integer between 1 and 3, c is an integer between 1 and 6, and where PEO is the hydrophilic block of poly(ethylene oxide) and is of the formula;-(-C2H4-O-)u- where u is the same or different in each PEO block in the molecule and is between 50 and 150, where PPO is the hydrophobic block of poly(propylene oxide) and is of the formula;-(-C3H6-O-)v- where v is the same or different in each PPO block in the molecule and is between 25 and 75,(c) reacting at least a portion of the -OH groups in the HO-PEO groups of the polymeric surfactant to provide reactive groups (R) on the pendant ends of at least a portion of the PEO groups to form a modified polymeric surfactant having pendant hydrophilic blocks (PEO) with one end attached to the hydrophobic block (PPO) and the other end attached to pendant reactive -O-R groups, R being stable in water and having the specific chemical reactivity that is provided to the surface, ie R is a reactive group that is stable in an aqueous environment and has a specific reactivity with an entity that is not water, in an aqueous environment, the number in the modified polymeric surfactant of the pendant hydrophilic blocks with attached -O-R groups (R-O-PEO-), and of the pendant hydrophilic blocks with attached unreacted -O-H groups (HO-PEO-), and of the hydrophobic block (PPO) in the molecule being represented by:         c (HO-PEO) : d (R-O-PEO) : b (PPO) where b, c and d are the number of the blocks in the modified polymeric surfactant, and b is an integer from 1 to 3, (c + d) is e, c is an integer between 0 and 5, and d is at least 1, and(d) adsorbing the PPO portions of the modified surfactant of step (c) upon the hydrophobic surface such that said PPO portions are adsorbed upon the surface, and HO-PEO and R-O-PEO groups of the molecule extend from the surface. Verfahren zur Herstellung einer hydrophilen Oberfläche mit einer spezifischen chemischen Reaktivität auf einem hydrophoben Substrat, wobei das Verfahren umfaßt: (a) Bereitstellen eines hydrophoben Substrats, wobei das hydrophobe Substrat dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß es einen Oberflächenwasserkontaktwinkel von mehr als 60° aufweist,(b) Bereitstellen eines polymeren Tensids mit im wesentlichen keiner Reaktivität gegenüber Biopolymeren, wobei das Tensid dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß es wenigstens einen hydrophilen Seitenblock aus Poly(ethylenoxid) (PEO) aufweist, wobei ein Ende direkt oder durch Brückenstrukturen mit einem hydrophoben Block aus Poly(propylenoxid) (PPO) verknüpft ist und das andere Ende mit -O-H-Seitengruppen verknüpft ist, wobei die Anzahl der hydrophilen Seitenblöcke (PEO) mit daran gebundenen -O-H-Gruppen (H-O-PEO) und der hydrophoben Blöcke (PPO) im Molekül repräsentiert wird durch:         e (H-O-PEO): b (PPO), worin b und e die Anzahl der Blöcke im Molekül sind und b eine ganze Zahl zwischen 1 und 3 ist, e eine ganze Zahl zwischen 1 und 6 ist, und wobei PEO der hydrophile Block aus Poly(ethylenoxid) ist und die Formel besitzt:         -(-C2H4-O-)u-, wobei u in jedem PEO-Block im Molekül identisch oder verschieden ist und zwischen 50 und 150 liegt, wobei PEO der hydrophobe Block aus Poly(propylenoxid) ist und die Formel besitzt:         -(-C3H6-O-)v-, wobei v in jedem PPO-Block im Molekül identisch oder verschieden ist und zwischen 25 und 75 liegt,(c) Umsetzen von wenigstens einem Teil der -OH-Gruppen in den HO-PEO-Gruppen des polymeren Tensids, um reaktive Gruppen (R) auf den Seitenenden von wenigstens einem Teil der PEO-Gruppen bereitzustellen, um ein modifiziertes polymeres Tensid mit hydrophilen Seitenblöcken (PEO) zu bilden, wobei ein Ende mit dem hydrophoben Block (PPO) verknüpft ist und das andere Ende mit reaktiven O-R-Seitengruppen verknüpft ist, wobei R in Wasser stabil ist und die spezifische chemische Reaktivität besitzt, die der Oberfläche verliehen wird, d.h. R eine reaktive Gruppe ist, die in einer wäßrigen Umgebung stabil ist und eine spezifische Reaktivität in einer wäßrigen Umgebung mit einer Einheit aufweist, die nicht Wasser ist, wobei die Anzahl, im modifzierten polymeren Tensid, der hydrophilen Seiteablöcke mit daran gebundenen -O-R-Gruppen (R-O-PEO-) und der hydrophilen Seitenblöcke mit daran gebundenen nicht-umgesetzten -O-H-Gruppen (HO-PEO-) und des hydrophoben Blocks (PPO) im Molekül repräsentiert wird durch:         c (HO-PEO) : d (R-O-PEO): b (PPO), worin b, c und d die Anzahl der Blöcke im modifizierten polymeren Tensid sind und b eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 3 ist, (c+ d) e ist, c eine ganze Zahl zwischen 0 und 5 ist und d wenigstens 1 ist, und(d) Adsorbieren der PPO-Teile des modifizierten Tensids von Schritt (c) auf der hydrophoben Oberfläche, so daß besagte PPO-Teile auf der Oberfläche adsorbiert werden und HO-PEO- und R-O-PBO-Gruppen des Moleküls sich von der Oberfläche weg erstecken.
