Automated resource management system.

The invention concerns a resource management system, comprising a plurality of servers (14,16), each serving one or more Personal Computers (PCs) (1). The system also comprises means for allowing each PC (1) to store one or more profiles, detailing the contents of one or more resources (3,4,6,15), in the server serving that PC (1). The system further comprises means for allowing the user of each PC (1) to search the profiles stored in all of the servers (14,16) within the system, thus enabling the user of each PC (1) to search through the contents of all of the resources (3,4,6,15), within the system.
