Transmission-reception system

Abstract

A transmission-reception circuit, including a transmitter circuit (D) and a receiver circuit (R) connected to each end of a transmission line (L), for transmitting and receiving a signal (SRA1, SRB1) to another receiver circuit (R) and from another transmitter circuit (D) at the other end across the transmission line, wherein in order to enable logical decision on a receiving signal to be made accurately and secure high reliability in a fully duplex simultaneous two-way communication, power supply lines are laid at opposite ends of the transmission line and threshold voltages (VTH1, VTH2, VTH3) for logical decision on a signal received by the receiver circuit are supplied from a power unit (PSA, PSB) used for the transmitter circuit and the receiver circuit at the other end of the transmission line.

7 claims: 3 independent, 4 dependent

  1. 1
A transmission-reception circuit, including a transmitter circuit (D) and a receiver circuit (R) connected to each end of a transmission line (L), for transmitting and receiving a signal (SRA1, SRB1) to a receiver circuit and from a transmitter circuit at the other end of the transmission line, wherein power supply lines are laid at both opposite ends of the transmission line, and a threshold voltage (VTHA, VTHB) for logical decision on a signal received by the receiver circuit is supplied from a power unit (PSA, PSB) used for the transmitter circuit and the receiver circuit at the other end of the transmission line.
  2. 2
A transmission-reception circuit according to Claim 1, wherein an output stage of the transmitter circuit is formed by a couple of switching elements (Q3, Q6) connected in a complementary connection.
  3. 3
A transmission-reception circuit according to Claim 1, wherein output voltages (SRA1, SRB1) of the transmitter-receiver circuits (TRA1, TRA2) to the transmission line are set at the same logical level during no communication time.
  4. 4
In a transmission-reception circuit, including a transmitter circuit and a receiver circuit connected to a common bus-structure type common transmission line, for transmitting and receiving a signal to another receiver circuit and from another transmitter circuit through said common transmission line, the receiver circuit comprises a first comparing means (R11, R12) for comparing a signal sent out on the common transmission line with first and second threshold voltages (VTH1, VTH2) for logical decision on a signal, said threshold voltages differing in voltage level by an amount corresponding to the amplitude of a signal sent out on the common transmission line, and a second comparing means (R31) for comparing a signal sent out on the common transmission line with a third threshold voltage (VTH3) of a level further higher by an amount corresponding to the amplitude of the signal sent out on the common transmission line than the level of the sum of the first and second threshold voltages, and outputting a signal (AL1) to invalidate the signal on the common transmission line when a signal higher than the third threshold voltage appears on the common transmission line.
  5. 5
A transmission-reception circuit according to Claim 4, wherein said first, second and third threshold voltages (VTH1, VTH2, VTH3) are supplied from a power unit (PSA, PSB) used for the transmitter circuit and the receiver circuit at the other end of the common transmission line.
  6. 6
In a transmission-reception circuit, including a transmitter circuit (D1) and a receiver circuit (R1) connected to a bus-structure type transmission line (L), for transmitting and receiving a signal (SR1) to another receiver circuit (Rn) and from another transmitter circuit (Dn), the receiver circuit (R1) includes a comparing means (R31) for comparing a signal (SR1) sent out on said common transmission line with a threshold voltage (VTH3) twice as high as an amount corresponding to an amplitude of the voltage level of the signal sent out on said common transmission line, and outputting a signal (AL1) to invalidate the signal on said common transmission line when a signal higher than said threshold voltage appears on said common transmission line.
  7. 7
A transmission-reception circuit according to Claim 6, wherein said threshold voltage (VTH3) is supplied from a power unit (PSA, PSB) used for the transmitter circuit and the receiver circuit at the other end of said common transmission line.
