EP0632631A2

Digital cordless telephone apparatus and a control method thereof.

Abstract

A method of controlling a digital cordless telephone apparatus formed of a plurality of master stations (1-3) and a plurality of remote stations (4-8) is provided. This method comprises the steps of making a telephone call among the master stations and the remote stations by transmitting and receiving digital data with different timings, and setting a common system access code in respective master stations so as to make a telephone call become possible among all of the master stations and the remote stations, wherein other master station receives a control signal included in the system access code transmitted from a main master station (1) of a plurality of the master stations (1-3), a control signal from other master station is transmitted in synchronism with a reception timing of the control signal and the remote station turns on and off a power supply of its reception unit on the basis of the control signal transmitted thereto.

  1. 1
A method of controlling a digital cordless telephone apparatus formed of a plurality of master stations (1-3) and a plurality of remote stations (4-8), comprising the steps of:making a telephone call among said master stations (1-3) and said remote stations (4-8) by transmitting and receiving digital data with different timings;and    setting a common system access code in said respective master stations so as to make a telephone call become possible among all of said master stations (1-3) and remote stations (4-8), wherein another master station receives a control signal included in said system access code transmitted from a main master station (1) of a plurality of said master stations (1-3) and a control signal from said other master station is transmitted in synchronism with a reception timing of said control signal.
  2. 3
The method of controlling a digital cordless telephone apparatus according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said remote station controls its reception timing on the basis of the control signal transmitted thereto from said other master station.
  3. 4
The method of controlling a digital cordless telephone apparatus according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said other master station transmits the control signal on the basis of a timing at which it receives a sync word in the control signal transmitted from said main master station (1).
  4. 5
The method of controlling a digital cordless telephone according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said other respective master stations successively transmit the control signals from a timing point at which a predetermined period is elapsed since said control signal was transmitted from said main master station (1).
  5. 6
The method of controlling a digital cordless telephone apparatus according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said remote station is controlled so as to turn on its power supply cyclically during a period from a leading edge of the control signal transmitted from said main master station to a trailing edge of a control signal transmitted latest of the control signals successively transmitted from said other remote station.
  6. 7
A digital cordless telephone apparatus comprising:a plurality of remote stations (4-8);and    a plurality of master stations (1-3), a common system access code being set in a plurality of said master stations so as to make a telephone call become possible among all of the master stations (1-3) and the remote stations (4-8), a control signal included in said system access code transmitted from a main master station (1) of a plurality of said master stations being received by other master station and a control signal being transmitted from said other master station in synchronism with a reception timing of said control signal, wherein said remote station turns on and off a power supply of its reception unit on the basis of said control signal.
  7. 9
The digital cordless telephone apparatus according to claims 7 or 8, wherein said other master station transmits a control signal from a timing point at which a predetermined time is elapsed since it received the control signal transmitted thereto from said main master station.
  8. 10
The digital cordless telephone apparatus according to any of claims 7 to 9, wherein said remote station turns on its power supply cyclically during a period from a leading edge of the control signal transmitted from said main master station to a trailing edge of a control signal transmitted latest of the control signals successively transmitted from said other remote station.
  9. 11
A method of controlling a reception standby operation of a remote station in a digital cordless telephone apparatus formed of a plurality of master stations (1-3) and a plurality of remote stations (4-8) in which a telephone call is made among said master stations and said remote stations by transmitting and receiving digital data with different timings and a common system access code is set in said respective master stations so as to make a telephone call become possible among all of said master stations and said remote stations, characterized in that other master station receives a control signal included in said system access code transmitted from a main master station (1) of a plurality of said master stations, a control signal of said other master station is transmitted in synchronism with a reception timing of said control signal and that said remote station turns on a power supply of its reception unit on the basis of said control signal.
