The invention relates to an electric toothbrush with a brush part in which a shaft, which is mounted rotatably about an axis of rotation, is accommodated with an entraining element arranged eccentrically relative to the axis of rotation and has a bristle carrier rotatably mounted on the brush part about an axis of rotation Right angle between them, and means for alternately driving the bristle carrier through the shaft.
Such an electric toothbrush is known from the laid-open specification DE 39 37 850 A1. There, the bristle carrier is driven by means of a bevel gear transmission. This embodiment has proven itself in practice in many cases, but requires an alternating drive of the electric toothbrush wave. In addition, the bevel gear unit is made of sintered metal, which means a high material and cost.
A device for cleaning and polishing teeth is known from the laid-open patent DE 17 66 651 A1, in which an bolt projecting eccentrically from a shaft engages in an outer annular groove of a displaceable cylinder, which furthermore has a conical central bore into which a tool for cleaning Of the teeth can be inserted. By rotating the shaft, the cylinder and thus the cleaning tool are moved into an up-and-down movement via the eccentric bolt. The cleaning tool is simultaneously rotatable about its longitudinal axis due to the outer ring groove, so that the tool automatically adjusts itself with regard to its angular position when inserted into a tooth gap. However, an alternating drive of the cleaning tool about its longitudinal axis does not take place.
DE 32 33 266 A1 discloses a device for the prophylactic treatment of tooth caries by means of a mechanical massage treatment of the molten tooth, in which an eccentrically arranged peg protrudes from a disk fastened to a shaft. The end of a massage cup is inserted into a sleeve which is provided with a longitudinal groove. This longitudinal groove is assigned to the eccentric pin in such a way that, as long as the pin is inserted into the longitudinal groove, the longitudinal groove is entrained in a rotary movement of the shaft of the pins and the sleeve is thus also caused to rotate. However, if the pin does not penetrate into the longitudinal groove, as is illustrated, for example, in the disclosure document in FIG. 2a, this means that the shaft is not coupled to the sleeve. If, in this case, the shaft is subjected to a rotary movement, this may result in the pin not taking the sleeve because of the lack of coupling. This danger exists in particular when the shaft is alternately driven, since in this case the longitudinal groove of the sleeve is not coupled to the pin exactly at the reversal point of the alternating rotary movement. In any case, with this device, only such an alternating movement of the massage head can be realized with a very limited rotational angle. Also, the shaft can not be rotationally driven, since the functional capability of the device is not present. Thus, the known device is limited in effect and complicated in design.
GB-PS 1208149 describes a cleaning device which has two concentric cleaning rings, which are driven mutually by means of bevel gears.
It is an object of the invention to provide an electric toothbrush which, with a simple constructional design and low cost, allows an alternating drive of the bristle carrier by a large angle of rotation. Furthermore, the bristle carrier should be capable of being alternatingly moved by a rotating or alternatively driven shaft, according to an aspect of the invention.
This object is achieved by the features given in claim 1.
This measure ensures that the bristle carrier is moved into an alternating rotational movement, irrespective of whether the shaft performs a rotating or an alternating rotational movement. In both cases, the eccentrically arranged driver and the eccentrically arranged receiver ensure a reliable transmission of the rotational movements even over large rotational angles. The coupling of the driver and the receiver ensures that the effective connection between the two components is retained in each case. For the alternating drive of the bristle carrier, therefore, only the eccentrically arranged driver and the eccentrically arranged receiver are required. Other components, in particular transmission components, can be omitted. The construction of the electric toothbrush is thereby simplified overall.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the rod is accommodated in a bore approximately parallel to the axis of rotation of the shaft. Thus, it is possible to arrange the driver consisting of a single component, which is expediently made of metal, parallel to the axis of rotation of the shaft.
Furthermore, the pick-up formed as a pin can be accommodated in a bore arranged approximately parallel to the axis of rotation of the bristle carrier. In this case too, only a single component is required for the pin, which is arranged substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the bristle carrier, the pin preferably being made of metal.
It is now possible for the rod and the pin to be firmly connected to one another or else to be embodied in one piece. It is advantageous to make the receptacle for the rod and the pin so that the rod as well as the pin can rotate in the respective receptacles and move in their axial directions.
In another advantageous embodiment, the rod is provided at its free end with an eyelet through which the pin passes. In this embodiment, the bore of the rod is advantageously designed such that the rod can rotate and move in the axial direction. Furthermore, the eye is rotatable about the pin and is movable in its axial direction.
In both embodiments of the coupling of the rod and the pin, a secure connection between these components is ensured. The coupling between the rod and the pin can not be separated during normal operation.
In particular, the embodiment in which the rod is provided with the eyelet also offers the advantage of simple and rapid assembly.
The use of the eccentrically arranged rod and the eccentrically arranged pin also has the advantage that the angle range of the alternating rotary movement of the bristle carrier can be adjusted in a simple manner by varying the degree of eccentricity of rod or pin. It is thus possible to increase or decrease the rotational angle range of the alternating rotary movement of the bristle carrier by the choice of the distance, for example, of the rod from the axis of rotation of the shaft.
In a further advantageous embodiment, the bristle carrier is pivotally mounted in the brush part. For this purpose, the bristle carrier is provided with an axle which is accommodated, for example, by means of a bearing ball in a spherical bearing. The bristle carrier is thus, as before, rotatable about its own axis of rotation, but can also be pivoted about the spherical bearing.
If, in this case, the driver is designed as a rod and the receiver is designed as a pin, and as a modification of the previous embodiments, the bore of the rod is designed in such a way that the rod can rotate but can not move in its axial direction In that the bristle carrier is placed in alternating rotary and wobbling motion. This advantageous embodiment results in an increased cleaning effect of the electric toothbrush.
In another advantageous embodiment, the bristle carrier has an outer and an inner bristle ring, which are both rotatably mounted about the axis of rotation of the bristle carrier. A receiver is assigned to the outer and inner bristle rings, each receiver being in turn coupled to a driver. The entrainers are expediently arranged on opposite sides of the axis of rotation of the shaft. As a result, the outer and inner bristle rings move alternately in opposite directions of rotation, thereby improving the cleaning action of the toothbrush.
In a particular embodiment, the bristle carrier has an eccentric bore which opens at least to the underside of the bristle carrier, the receiver and entrainment being designed as a one-piece transmission element. By means of this measure, an extremely simple mounting of the transmission element in the toothbrush is ensured.
Advantageously, the bore has a breakthrough to the side wall of the bristle carrier by means of a middle portion of the bristle carrier. The breakthrough allows the rod of the transmission element to emerge, which can then easily be inserted into the receptacle provided in the shaft.
Advantageously, the transmission element is T-shaped, the rod preferably having a smaller diameter than the pin. This makes it possible to store the pin at both end sections in the bristle carrier despite the simple mounting of the transfer element on the bristle carrier. Of course, the transmission element can also be L-shaped or have other suitable shape configurations.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, a particularly long slit-shaped opening, which extends radially to the side wall, is provided in a lower partial section of the bore of the bristle carrier, which opening preferably has a narrowing formed by lugs. This embodiment has the advantage of an extremely simple assembly because the transmission element, in particular T-shaped, is simply inserted with its pin into the bore from the underside of the bristle carrier, the rod of the transmission element being received during the assembly process by the slot-shaped opening. Upon completion of the assembly of the transmission element, its rod extends through the bridging provided in the middle portion of the bristle carrier towards the shaft of the brush part. The narrowing of the slot-shaped opening, which is formed by the projections, also serves to support the portion of the pin facing the underside of the bristle carrier on the bristle carrier. Since the rod preferably has a smaller diameter than the pin, the rod can be passed through the constriction during assembly on the bristle carrier, while after the assembly process the projections form a kind of abutment for the pin. The other portion of the pin is supported in the bore in the bristle carrier.
According to a further, extremely advantageous embodiment of the invention, in a lower partial section of the bore of the bristle carrier, an incision, which is arranged in the manner of a chord, is provided which is open towards the underside and extends from the bore to a side wall section and which is connected to a further side wall section, Is provided. In this case, the transmission element is also installed in such a way that the latter is inserted into the bore from below with the pin, the transfer element being to be positioned in such a way that the rod finds accommodation in the recess opening which is open towards the underside. The transfer element is displaced axially with respect to the bristle carrier to its upper side until the bar comes to rest in the incision provided in the side wall. Then the rod can be pivoted about the pin radially outward from this position into the final mounting position. This further embodiment has the great advantage that the pin is fixed to the bristle carrier at both end sections and is also secured against slipping out of the bore. This type of mounting of the transmission element on the bristle carrier is also extremely simple and can be performed mechanically.
In particular, it is not absolutely necessary for all the embodiments that the axis of rotation of the bristle carrier is arranged approximately at right angles to the axis of rotation of the shaft and / or the pick-up formed as a pin approximately parallel to the axis of rotation of the bristle carrier. By means of deviating angular arrangements of these components, the alternating drive of the bristle carrier can be positively influenced with respect to rotational angle, circular acceleration and further parameters.
Further features, advantages and possible applications of the invention will emerge from the following description of the exemplary embodiments, which are illustrated in more detail in the drawing.

The following description is based on the applicant's published patent application DE 39 37 850 A1.
FIG. 1 shows, as a first exemplary embodiment, a brush part 24, which can be connected in a manner not shown in detail with a handle part of an electric toothbrush. The brush part 24 consists of a hollow carrier tube 36, in which a shaft 34 with an inserted shaft part 75 is accommodated. The shaft 34 is coupled, in a manner not shown in detail, with an electric motor accommodated in the handle part of the toothbrush, which sets the shaft 34 in an alternating rotational movement. This is indicated by the arrow 140 in FIG.
On its end facing away from the grip portion of the toothbrush, the carrier tube 36 passes into an upwardly open, cup-shaped receptacle 50. A bristle carrier 38 is accommodated in this receptacle 50, a carrier plate 44 with bristles 45 held therein covering the opening of the receptacle 50. On the side of the receptacle 50, which is opposite the carrier plate 44, a projection 63 is provided, into which a blind borehole 57 is inserted. An axis 56, which serves for the rotatable mounting of the bristle carrier 38, is accommodated in the blind hole 57.
A pin 59 is mounted on the axle 56 by means of a blind hole 55, which pin 59 is expanded on its side facing the elevation 63 to form an annular shoulder 61. A sleeve section 58 is positively mounted on the pin 59, this sleeve section 58 being connected to the carrier plate 44.
The entire bristle carrier 38, thus the carrier plate 44 with the bristles 45 as well as the pegs 59 with the annular shoulder 61, are rotatably mounted about the axis of rotation 54 formed by the axis 56. The shaft 34 is rotatably mounted together with the shaft part 75 about the axis of rotation 52 formed by the shaft 34, this axis of rotation simultaneously representing the longitudinal center axis of the carrier tube 36 and thus of the brush part 24. The axis of rotation 54 of the bristle carrier 38 and the axis of rotation 52 of the shaft 34 are arranged at an angle to each other, the angle being approximately 90 °.
Approximately parallel to the axis of rotation 52 of the shaft 34, but at a distance from this axis of rotation 52, a bore 100 is inserted eccentrically in the shaft part 75 on the side facing the receptacle 50. A rod 102, which has an eyelet 103 on its free end protruding from the shaft part 75, is accommodated in the bore 100. The diameter of the bore 100 is slightly larger than the diameter of the rod 102. In this way, the rod 102 can rotate in the bore 100 about its own axis and can move back and forth in the axial direction.
In the region of the annular shoulder 61 facing the shaft portion 75, a bore 110 is introduced which is arranged eccentrically parallel to the axis of rotation 54 of the bristle carrier 38 but at a distance from this axis of rotation 54. A pin 112 is firmly inserted into the bore 110, the free end of which protrudes beyond the annular shoulder 61 extending through the eyelet 103 of the rod 102. The diameter of the eyelet 103 is slightly larger than the diameter of the pin 112 so that the eyelet 103 can rotate around the pin 112 and move back and forth in the axial direction of the pin 112. In this way,
The rod 102 and thus the shaft 34 of the brush part 24 are thus coupled to the pin 112 via the eye 103 and thus to the bristle carrier 38.
The mode of operation of the coupling in the switched-on operating state of the electric toothbrush is explained below with reference to FIGS. 2a to 2c. FIG. 2 a shows the center position of this coupling, while FIGS. 2 b and 2 c represent the two extreme positions.
If the shaft 34 and thus the shaft part 75 are set in motion in the direction indicated by the arrow 130 about the axis of rotation 52, the result is that the rod 102 is moved downward in FIG. 2a. The ring shoulder 61, and thus the bristle carrier 38, is rotated about the axis 56 in the direction indicated by the arrow 131 via the eyelet 103 and the pin 112. The rod 102 moves out of the bore 100 by a distance so as to compensate for the increasing spacing of the pin 112 from the shaft 75. In this way, At the same time, the eyelet 103 rotates around the pin 112, thereby also balancing the rotation of the annular shoulder 61 about the axis 56. The entire rotational movement indicated by the arrows 130 and 131 continues until the extreme position shown in FIG. 2b is reached.
In the extreme position shown in FIG. 2b, the direction of rotation of the shaft part 75 rotates in the direction of the arrow 133. This rotary movement of the shaft part 75 is transmitted back to the annular shoulder 61 and the rod 102 via the rod 102, the eyelet 103 and the pin 112 To be transferred to the bristle carrier 38, in a rotation in the direction of the arrow 134. In this rotary movement, the distance of the pin 112 from the shaft part 75 is first shortened so that the rod 102 first penetrates further into the bore 100. However, as soon as the center position shown in FIG. 2a is exceeded, the rod 102 moves out of the bore 100 again due to an increasing distance. The eye 103 rotates around the pin 112 during the entire rotational movement.
When the other extreme position shown in FIG. 2c is reached, the directions of movement are reversed, which is indicated by the arrows 136 and 137 in FIG. 2c. The rod 102 moves back into the bore 100 and the eye 103 again rotates about the pin 112. The center position shown in FIG. 2a is then reached so that a complete cycle is completed.
The alternating rotary movement of the shaft 34 is transmitted via the rod 102, the eyelet 103 and the pin 112 into an alternating rotary movement of the bristle carrier 38.
The range of rotation angle covered by the bristle carrier 38 can be adjusted by the selection of the distance of the bore 100 from the axis of rotation 52 of the shaft 34 and by the selection of the distance of the bore 110 from the axis of rotation 54 of the bristle carrier 38. The preferred rotational angle range of the bristle carrier 38 can be in a value range of approximately +/- 35 °.
The second exemplary embodiment of a brush part 24 shown in FIG. 3 largely corresponds to the first exemplary embodiment described with reference to FIG. Essentially, therefore, only the features which are different are dealt with below.
In the brush part of FIG. 3, the shaft 34 is rotationally driven. This is indicated in FIG. 3 by the arrow 145. A pin 114 is provided on the brush part 24 of FIG. 3, which pin is firmly inserted in the bore 110 of the annular shoulder 61. Like the pin 112 of FIG. 1, the pin 114 is arranged approximately parallel to the axis of rotation 54 of the bristle carrier 38 but at a distance from this axis of rotation 54. In contrast to the pin 112 of FIG. 1, however, the pin 114 of FIG. 3 is of longer dimensions.
The mode of operation of the coupling of the shaft 34 and the bristle carrier 38, which is implemented via the rod 102, the eyelet 103 and the pin 114, will be explained in more detail below with reference to FIG. 4.
If the shaft 34 and thus the shaft part 75 are displaced in a rotation about the axis of rotation 52, as indicated by the arrow 145 in FIG. 4, the result is that the rod 102 continues to move upwards and upwards with respect to the axis of rotation 52 Down. Due to the coupling of the rod 102 via the eyelet 103 with the pin 114, this results in a rotational movement of the annular shoulder 61 and thus of the bristle carrier 38 about the axis 56. Due to the upward and downward movement of the rod 102, the rotational movement of the annular shoulder 61 is an alternating rotational movement, as is indicated in FIG. 4 by the arrows 146.
During the rotation of the shaft 34, the rod 102 moves back and forth in the axial direction in the bore 100. Further, the eyelet 103 rotates about the pin 114 and moves up and down in the axial direction of the pin 114. Thus, the rotating rotary movement of the shaft 34 is transmitted via the rod 102, the eyelet 103 and the pin 114 into an alternating rotary movement of the bristle carrier 38.
As already mentioned, the overlapped rotational angle range of the bristle carrier 38 can also be adjusted by means of the selection of the distances between the rod 102 or the pin 114 from the rotational axes 52 and 54 of the shaft 34 and the bristle carrier 38. A rotational angle range with a value of approximately +/- 35 ° is again preferred.
The third exemplary embodiment of a brush part 24 shown in FIG. 5 corresponds in parts with the first or second exemplary embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 4. Therefore, only the different features will be discussed in more detail below.
The shaft 34 and the shaft part 75 of the brush part 24 shown in FIG. 5 can be driven alternately, as well as rotatingly. This is expressed by the arrows 150 and 155 in FIG. In the case of an alternating drive, the shorter pin 112 is provided, whereas the longer pin 114 is provided during a rotary drive.
The essential difference of the brush part 24 according to FIG. 5 is that the axis 56 is not accommodated in the blind hole bore 57 as in the exemplary embodiments of FIGS. 1 to 4, but that the axis 56 with a bearing ball 122 is provided in the third exemplary embodiment of FIG Which is mounted in a spherical bearing 120. The spherical bearing 120 is accommodated in the elevation 63 of the brush part 24 so that the axis 56 is pivotally mounted about a point 124.
Another difference is that the rod 102 is fixed within the bore 100 in its axial direction. This means that the rod 102 can rotate about its own axis in the bore 100 but is immovable in its axial direction.
If the shaft 34 is moved into an alternating or rotating rotary movement, as has already been explained with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4, this results in an alternating rotary movement of the annular shoulder 61 and thus the bristle carrier 38. By fixing the rod 102 in the bore 100, however, the constantly changing distance of the pin 112 or of the pin 114 from the shaft part 75 can not be compensated for. As a result, the annular shoulder 61 and thus the entire bristle carrier 38 must compensate this changing distance. This is made possible with the aid of the pivotable mounting of the axle 56 by the bristle carrier 38 pivoting about the point 124. Bristle carrier 38 thus results in an overall alternating rotary and wobbling movement.
FIG. 6 shows, as a fourth exemplary embodiment, a brush part 24 which has an outer and an inner bristle ring. For the sake of simplicity, these two bristle rings are shown in FIG. 6 as outer annular shoulder 61a and inner annular shoulder 61b which are arranged concentrically with the axis of rotation 54. The outer ring shoulder 61a carries the bristles 45a and the inner ring shoulder 61b carries the bristles 45b. 6, the bristles 45a and 45b can also be held in carrier plates or carrier rings, which carrier plates or carrier rings can then be connected in a manner to the ring shoulders 61a and 61b, as is the case with the ring shoulders 61a and 61b Embodiments of FIGS. 1 to 5.
The shaft part 75 is provided with two bores 100a and 100b which are arranged parallel, but at a distance, and thus eccentrically with respect to the axis of rotation 52, and in each of which a rod 102a and 102b is accommodated. The rods 102a and 102b are rotatable in the bores 100a and 100b and are movably arranged in their axial direction. An eyelet 103a and 103b is attached to the free ends of the rods 102a and 102b, respectively.
A bore 110 a is inserted into the outer annular shoulder 61 a, into which a pin 112 a is firmly inserted. The pin 112a is arranged parallel and eccentric to the axis of rotation 54 of the axis 56 of the bristle carrier 38. Further, the pin 112a penetrates the eyelet 103a, the eyelet 103a being able to rotate around the pin and to reciprocate in the axial direction thereof.
Correspondingly, a bore 110b is introduced into the annular shoulder 61b into which a pin 112b is inserted, which also passes through the eye 103b.
As can be seen from FIG. 6, the bores 100a and 100b are arranged eccentrically with respect to the axis of rotation 52 of the shaft 34 on opposite sides. The coupling of the rods 102a and 102b via the eyes 103a and 103b with the pins 112a and 112b ensures that the outer annular shoulder 61a and the inner annular shoulder 61b perform counter-rotating alternating rotary motions. Overall, in the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 6, an alternating rotary movement of the shaft 34 leads to an alternating and counterrotating rotational movement of both bristle rings.
FIG. 7 shows a fifth embodiment of a fixing of the transmission element 214 consisting of the rod 102 and the pin 112. A bore 200 is arranged eccentrically in the bristle carrier 38, which bore opens toward the underside 202 of the bristle carrier 38 and serves to receive the pin 112, Is integrally connected to the rod 102. The transfer element 214 is T-shaped, the transverse beam being formed by the rod 112 and the longitudinal beam through the rod 102. The rod 102 has a smaller diameter than the pin 112. The bore 200 has a breakthrough 206 to the side wall 204 of the bristle carrier by means of a middle section of the bristle carrier 38, in which, after the transfer element 214 has been mounted on the bristle carrier 38, Axially displaceable and laterally pivotable. In order to mount this transfer element 214, an elongated slot-shaped opening 208, which extends radially to the side wall 204, is provided in a lower partial section of the bore 200 of the bristle carrier 38, which opening preferably has a constriction 210 formed by projections 212. The transfer element 214 is inserted into the bore 200 for mounting on the bristle carrier 38 with the pin 112 and is pushed axially upwards, the rod 102 being received by the slot-shaped opening 208 during assembly. The constriction 210 is configured such that the rod 102 with its smaller diameter can readily pass through it, but the lower portion of the pin 112 is fixed by the lugs 212 in the bore 200.
According to FIG. 8, in a lower partial section of the bore 200 of the bristle carrier 38 there is provided an incision 216 which is arranged in the manner of a chord and is open towards the lower side 202 and which is connected to a further incision 218 provided in the side wall 204. In this case, the transfer element with the pin 112 is again inserted into the bore 200, the rod being pivoted obliquely rearwardly away from the opening 206 so that it can be received by the notch 216. The transfer element 214 is displaced axially upwardly in the direction of the axis of the bore 200 until the rod 10 enters the notch 218. The transfer element 214 can now be pivoted radially outwards about the pin 112 so that the rod 102 is received by the opening 206. Both one-sided sections of the pin 112 are fixed in the bore 200, the transmission element 214 being additionally secured against slipping out of the bore 200.
The two exemplary embodiments of FIGS. 7 and 8 can be arbitrarily combined with the embodiments of FIGS. 1 to 6. FIG. 9 shows a further exemplary embodiment of the invention, wherein, to the preceding exemplary embodiments, the same components are identified with corresponding reference numerals. In the following, only the differences in the structural design and its function are described. The driver and receiver are constructed in one piece and have the shape of a T-piece 314. The rod 102 is received in a receptacle, in particular a bore 100, which is arranged essentially parallel to the axis of rotation 52 of the shaft 34. The driver is axially displaceable with respect to the axis of rotation 52 of the shaft 34. Furthermore, the shaft 34 has a bore 302 which is arranged centrally relative to the axis of rotation 52 and which receives a pin 306 at one end. The pin 306 engages with the other end into a bore 304 in the side wall of the cup-shaped receptacle 50. By means of this measure, a safe and play-free bearing of the shaft 34 in the carrier tube 36 is ensured. A further bore 308, in which a pin 310 is arranged, is mounted in the side wall of the cup-shaped receptacle 50. The pin 310 protrudes into the interior of the cup-shaped receptacle 50 and engages in a recess 312 of the pin 318 of the bristle carrier 38. By means of this measure, the bristle carrier 38 is opposed to an axial displacement on the axis 56 or against an unintended slipping off of this axis 56 secured. In contrast to the preceding exemplary embodiments, the receptacle, which is designed in particular as a pin 112, is rigidly coupled with the bristle carrier 38 in the receptacle, which is designed in particular as a bore 110, with respect to an axial displacement in the direction of the axis of rotation 54. In particular, there is the possibility that an axial displacement of the pick-up in the receptacle of the bristle carrier 38 is limited or completely avoided by a limiting element 316 or the like fixing element. As a result of this measure, the bristle carrier 38 is not only displaced in an alternately oscillating rotary movement about the axis of rotation 54, but additionally carries out a reciprocating lifting movement in the direction of the axis of rotation 54. Due to this fixing of the pick-up on the bristle carrier 38 in the axial direction (relative to the axis of rotation 54), the bristle carrier 38 is raised by a certain value in the direction of the axis of rotation 54 from the position shown in FIG. 9, One of the two extreme positions is rotated to the left or right, relative to the rotational axis 52. The stroke of the bristle carrier 38 is dependent on the eccentricity of the bar 102 or the height of the circular arc which will pass through the bar 102 during a reciprocating movement of the shaft 34. As a result of the reciprocating movement of the bristle carrier 38 in the direction of the axis of rotation, the bristle ends also effect an impact movement on the teeth to be cleaned, in addition to a wiping movement, as a result of which the effectiveness of the cleaning of the teeth is increased not only in the interdental spaces.
