  1. 1
A booting method for a microcomputer, the method being of the type including executing a test program (POST), loading an operating system, and executing at least one current startup file including user-selected programs, characterised by:(a) storing in a non-volatile register, accessible through a bus (B) of the microcomputer, a programmed time (PT(x)) associated with a task (x);(b) detecting the coincidence between the time indicated by a permanently powered clock (RTC) and said programmed time;(c) as a consequence of detecting said coincidence in step (b), powering on the microcomputer, running said test program, loading said operating system and executing, instead of said current startup file, a startup file associated with the task (x).
  2. 9
A microcomputer including a permanently powered real time clock (RTC) and a power supply block (26) that is controlled by a logic signal, including:- a first set of non-volatile registers (40) accessible through a bus (B) of the microcomputer, including a task pending register (TP), each bit (TP x ) of which indicates whether a corresponding task (x) is pending or not;- a set of non-volatile registers (42) specific to each pending task and accessible through the bus, each specific register set including a specific startup file identifier register (ID(x)) and a register storing the programmed time (PT(x)) of the task;- means for comparing the content of the programmed time registers with the time indicated by the real time clock and for setting a task pending bit (TP x ) if the time indicated by the real time clock reaches a corresponding programmed time;and - means for detecting the set state of any one of the task pending bits and for then powering on the microcomputer, running a test program, loading an operating system and executing, instead of a current startup file, a specific startup file associated with the task (x) associated with a task pending bit which is detected to be in a set state.
