Disposable panty and method of producing the same.
Abstract
The invention effectively avoids the conventionally occurring disadvantage that the front section of prior art pants which have been put on the wearer is displaced downwards under a force exerted by the movement of the legs of the wearer or under the weight of excrement collected in the crotch region of the pants, and this leads to detached leg openings through which excrement can escape. A front section comprising a layer which is elastically detachable at least in the transverse direction, and a rear section comprising a layer which is essentially unstretchable, are connected to one another, the dimension in the transverse direction of the front section in its contracted state in the transverse direction being smaller than a dimension of the rear section extending in the transverse direction, so that laterally opposite hip regions of the body of the wearer of the pants are covered by sections of the rear section. <IMAGE>

The invention underlying state of the art
The present invention relates to disposable panty, for example in the form of training pants for babies, Höschenwindein or sanitary panties and a method of manufacturing the same.
In conventional disposable panty, such as disposable training pants, it is known to the entire front and rear portions of elastically stretchable sheet material, such as nonwoven fabric, produce, or produce only the opposite side portions of the front and rear section made of such sheeting.
However, all known panties are, at least along their opposite side edges of elastically extensible and thereby the front portion may be a force which is exerted on it during the movement of the user's legs, or be moved under the weight of collected in the crotch region of the panties excrement down. This displacement of the front section downwards not only leads to an unsightly appearance when worn, but also to an extension of the leg openings, then may exit through the feces.
Description of the Invention
The object of the invention to form panties using an elastically stretchable web in such a way that the downward displacement of the front portion is minimized.
According to the present invention, above object is solved by the disposable pants comprising a front portion, which is made of sheet material which is elastically stretchable at least in transverse direction and a rear portion, which is made of sheet material which has substantially no elastic stretchability, which are connected to each other, wherein a transverse dimension of the front portion is smaller than the transverse dimension of the rear portion such that the laterally opposite waist regions of the wearer of the pants may be covered by a region of the rear portion. If the panties to absorb and contain bodily waste, including urine, for example, as a training pants or diapers, so can be used for outer layers of the front and rear portion liquid impermeable sheet material are used during a single, disconnected, continuous liquid-permeable sheet that is not elastically stretchable essentially is can be used as an inner layer, which is the front and rear portions together. can be between these inner and outer layers, if desired, a liquid-absorbent core lying.
While the present invention if desired elastically stretchable members around the waist opening and the leg openings of the panties may be provided for narrowing of these regions, the use of such elastically stretchable elements for the invention is not essential.
If a user has created panties to the invention, the laterally opposite sides of the user's hips are a part of the rear portion covered, having substantially no elastic stretchability, and the force acting transversely contracting force of the front section which extends between these sides opposite of the user's hip and extends at least in the transverse direction has elastic extensibility, cause the adjustment of the entire panty to the user's body. The laterally opposite side portions act as a means to keep the panties on the body of the user. The arranged on the abdomen of the user front portion can contract freely during exhalation of the user.

Preferred embodiments of the invention
Embodiment of the panty
FIG. 1 shows the basic version of a built-up according to the method of the invention panty 1.
The pants 1 comprises a front portion of sheet 2, which is at least elastically extensible in the transverse direction or in both the length and in width, and a rear portion of sheet 3, which is not elastically extensible substantially. The panties have a waist opening 4 and two leg openings 5. In Fig. 1, 2 Vorderabschittslage shown contracted in the transverse direction. In this state, its dimension in the transverse direction is smaller than that of the rear section position 3. The front portion of sheet 2 is smaller than the rear portion position 3. lying in the longitudinal direction ends of the Vorderabschnitts- and rear portions of layer 2 in their longitudinal dimension, 3 overlap one another and are separated by a continuous sealing line 7 connected, which runs along this overlapped region. The respective transversely opposite side edges of the rear portion and Vorderabschnitts- sheets 2, 3 overlap one another on their inner surfaces and are respectively interrupted by sealing lines 8, which extend along the overlapped portions, connected to each other.
When contracted transverse front portion layer 2, as shown in FIG. 1, laterally opposite side portions 9 of the pants 1 of parts of the rear portion of layer 3 are each formed and the connecting portions (sealing line 8) of the laterally opposite side portions 9 are located in the abdominal area. Of course, the front portion of sheet 2 is stretched in the lateral direction and then contracts again when the panties are 1 applied to the user. The ratio of the dimensions in the transverse direction of the front portion of sheet 2 and the rear portion of sheet 3, as well as the strain rate in the transverse direction of the front portion of layer 2 are selected so that the seal lines 8 and the laterally opposite side portions 9 after the application of the panty to the user, the above-mentioned positions, taking.
Stretchable elastic members 10, 11 each comprise a plurality of thread-like elastic individual elements, the waist-hole 4 is attached in a stretched state in the longitudinal direction around the two openings 5 and.
A not shown continuous inner layer, which is the front and rear portions together and having substantially no elastic stretchability, can, if desired, be pointwise connected at desired intervals with the inside of the front portion of layer 2 and the rear portion layer 3, so that they does not interfere with the elastic extensibility of the front portion Location 2nd In this case, a liquid-impermeable sheet is used as the outer layer, while a liquid-permeable sheet is used as the inner layer, and the opposite sides of the inner web are attached to the laterally opposite ends of the front portion of sheet 2 and the rear portion of sheet 3 in the manner mentioned above. In this case, also a liquid-absorbent core to be placed between the inner and outer layers, if desired.
First embodiment of the method for manufacturing the panty
In Figs. 2 to 4, the respective steps of the method are illustrated in accordance with the present invention. A front portion web 22, which in transverse direction has at least elastic stretchability is supplied to an assembly station, not shown, the web 22 with a desired strain rate to, for example, to 1.5 times stretched 1.05 in the longitudinal direction, while a rear portion web 23, whose width is suitably greater than that of the track 23 and which has substantially no elastic stretchability, is supplied in the manner of the assembly station that an axis extending in the longitudinal direction side edge of the web 23 extending in the longitudinal direction side edge of the web 22, the stretched exists overlapped and these overlapped region can be connected together by the continuous sealing line 7, so as to form the outer layer web forming the thirtieth Bonding may be achieved by using hot melt adhesive or thermal or ultrasonic welding processes.
The elongation of the web 22 can be achieved for example in a manner as is normally used to stretch the elastically stretchable elements which are around the respective leg openings of disposable diapers or to attach the like, namely by increasing the peripheral speed of a pair of pinch rolls in running direction of the web 22 upstream and these pinch between them, relative to the circumferential speed of a further pair of similar pinch rolls that are downstream in the running direction of the web 22nd
Two endless stretchable elastic members 10a, b, each comprise a plurality of thread-like elastic individual elements are taken along the central region of the incoming to the assembly station web 30 and attached thereto, while the elastic elements 10a, 10b in the longitudinal direction with a desired expansion ratio, for example the one- to three-fold stretched. The respective elements 10a, 10b thereby form another partially overlapping sinusoidal curves. At the same time two further endless, stretchable elastic members 11a, 11b also each include a plurality of elastic individual elements, applied along bordering on the longitudinal opposite side edges regions and fixed to the web 30th
Disposing the stretchable elastic members 10a, 10b, 11a, 11b in the above-described configuration, as indicated by the Applicant of the present Patent Application in the European patent application no. 040 55 75 A1, be achieved by use of two traversing means. The attachment of the elastically stretchable members to the web 30 can be obtained directly on these stretchable elastic members by first applying hot melt adhesive to the web 30 along the elastically stretchable from the respective elements to be described loci or by application of such adhesive. The portions of the respective elastically stretchable members 10a, 10b which lie between two adjacent crossing points of the same may be free of adhesive so that these portions are not fixed to the web 30 and in addition, each of these areas can be cut through at one point, so that these sections snap back.
An inner layer web 31 which has substantially the same width as the tapering on the assembly station web 30 and which is not elastically stretchable essentially is applied to the web 30 and is connected thereto, so as to form a web 32nd Such bonding may also be carried out by the use of hot melt adhesive or by thermal or ultrasonic welding processes.
From the respective circular regions 13 that are formed from the elastically stretchable members 10a, 10b, a portion 16 in the desired size and shape, which is symmetrical with respect to an imaginary center line 14 extending transversely to the running direction of the web 32 passes over them, for the preparation of leg opening 5 cut.
The web thus provided with leg openings 5 32 is folded over each other along a line extending in the longitudinal direction of the imaginary center line 15, the web 31 has inwardly, and provided with the intermediate sealing lines 8, which extend directly to the imaginary center lines 14, whereby the web 31 and the web 32 are connected to each other, so as to form a web 33rd
The tapering on the assembly station track 33 is with the elastically stretchable members 10a, 10b, 11a, 11b successively along the respective imaginary center lines 14, each parallel to and extending between each pair of seal lines, cut, whereby the individual panties are obtained.
The individual leg openings 5 can also, instead of being formed immediately after the preparation of the web 32 can be formed immediately after the formation of the web 33 or during the separation process of the web 33 into individual panties.
The outer layer web 30 may consist of liquid-impermeable material such as plastic film, and more particularly the web 23, which forms part of the web 30 may be made of moisture- and air-permeable material. The inner layer web 31 may be made of nonwoven fabric. It should be noted that, as described in reference to FIG. 1, the panties in its simplest configuration, no inner layer web 31 has, that is, that only the web 30 is used as the material for the individual layers of the panty. In this case, there are the tracks 22, 23 that form the web 30 together, preferably made of nonwoven fabric. While the stretchable elastic members 10, 11 may be made of natural rubber or synthetic rubber or the like, these elastically stretchable elements in the simplest embodiment of the pants 1 shall be sometimes omitted.
Second embodiment of the method for manufacturing the panty
This second embodiment is similar to the first embodiment. Unlike this, however, an hourglass-shaped, liquid-absorbent core is here, as shown in Fig. 5 by broken lines 34 between each two circuit areas 13, which are made of elastically stretchable members 10a, 10b, inserted before the web 31 on the web 30 is placed. The stretchable elastic members 11a, 11b, as shown in Fig. 6, placed on the inner surface of the sheet 31 and adhesively bonded thereto and the leg openings 5, as seen from Fig. 7 to 9 is seen by cutting of the corresponding portions of the web 32 is cut after the folding along the running in the longitudinal direction of the web imaginary center line 15th Therefore, the corresponding parts of the first embodiment parts are denoted by the same reference numerals and a further detailed description of the second embodiment will be omitted. The core 34 preferably comprises comminuted fluff pulp mixed with thermoplastic fibers and superabsorbent polymer powder is pressed into desired shape.
If panties according to the invention are applied to the user, the opposite Hüftseiten the user of parts of the rear portion of the body are covered, which has substantially no elastic stretchability, and a force acting in the transverse direction of contracting force of the front section, which lies between these two opposite Hüftseiten and at least is transversely elastically extensible, ensures that the entire panty fits against the body of the user. So that these opposite Hüftseitenabschnitte serve as a means to keep the panties on the user's body and thereby avoid the drawback which occurs conventionally due to an unstable extensibility this opposite Hüftseitenabschnitte, namely that the front portion under a caused by the leg movement of the user character or is shifted under the weight of accumulated in the crotch region of the panties excrement down, which not only leads to an unattractive appearance when worn, but also to extended leg openings, can exit through the feces.
The thus pre-cut adhesion formed panties can be prepared by the process of the invention, readily by a groove extending in the longitudinal direction side edge of the second web for the back portion, which has substantially no elastic stretchability, is overlapped with a line extending in the longitudinal direction side edge of the first web for the front portion which is elastically stretchable at least in transverse direction, while said first web is stretched in the longitudinal direction, whereupon this overlapped region is provided with a sealing line to join the two webs together.
