Mounting of a dead-end wheel to an axle.
Abstract
The invention relates to a device for mounting a dead-end wheel comprising a hub connected by a thin web to a wheel rim carrying a tread strip and a spring stud mounted so as to move radially in a cavity of the said thin web being subjected to the action of a spring arranged in the said cavity, the said wheel axle comprising a peripheral groove in the vicinity of its end for receiving the said spring stud by interlocking during mounting of the wheel on the axle. The said thin web (6) comprises, in at least one of its walls, an orifice (14) allowing access to the spring stud (9, 10) so as to move the latter radially in the said cavity (11) of the thin web so as to disengage it from the said peripheral groove (13) of the said wheel axle (4), and the spring stud comprises at least one projecting tab (15) passing through the said orifice (14) made in the shape of a slot in the wall of the thin web.

The present invention relates to a device for mounting a nose wheel on a wheel axle, in particular wheel bin handling or collection for industrial or household waste.
In mounting devices currently used, especially in the bins for mechanized garbage collection, there is a spring mounted on the snowman wheel hub and engageable snap in a peripheral groove of axis directed in the vicinity of its end, which ensures the axial fixing of the wheel on its axis. The groove can be made on the axis itself in particular in the case of solid bearing pins or a part such as a nozzle attached to the axis at least partially tubular, for example as described in patent FR-A 2,519,587 of the applicant company.
Once the man to spring engaged in the corresponding groove of the shaft, it can not be cleared so that the wheel is fixed in unremovable manner on the axis.
The advantage on this configuration is that the theft of the wheel is prevented.
The downside is that a wheel can be removed only by destroying it.
The present invention proposes to provide a particularly simple and economical means a device for dismantling a nose wheel without destroying it.
The present invention relates to a device for mounting a nose wheel on a wheel axle, said nose wheel comprising a hub connected by a veil to a rim bearing a tread and a man moving spring mounted radially in a cavity in said web being subjected to the action of a spring disposed in said cavity, said wheel axle having a peripheral groove in the vicinity of its end for receiving said snap snowman spring when mounting the wheel on the axis, characterized in that said web comprises, in at least one of its walls, a hole allowing access to the man spring to move the latter radially into said cavity of the web so as to disengage it from said peripheral groove of said wheel axis, and that the spring fellow comprises at least one tab projecting through said orifice arranged shaped slot in the wall of the veil.
Preferably, the spring comprises a snowman enlarged diameter head, the transition region between the head and the body of the spring being disposed man, in the mounted position of the wheel on the shaft, facing said orifice.
According to the invention, simply type the projecting tab, manually or with a tool, and slide radially to release the man spring of the peripheral groove of said wheel axis.
The orifice allowing access to the man spring is preferably arranged on the side of the web located on the inner side of the wheel. This arrangement has the advantage of avoiding a third intruder not noticing that the wheel is removable and is therefore tried to dismantle. However, it is according to the invention provide an orifice on the outer side or an orifice on each side of the sail.
In order to better understand the invention will now be described by way of non-limiting examples two embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:

Figure 1 is an elevational view, in partial section of a bin using, for mounting wheels, a device according to the invention,

Figure 2 is an elevational and partial sectional view of a nose wheel mounted on a shaft by using the device according to the invention.

Referring to Figure 1, we see a usable bin especially for mechanized garbage collection.
Such containers are manufactured and distributed in different capacities by the applicant company.
The tray comprises a tank 1 to the upper part of which is articulated a cover 2, said tank being movable by means of wheels 3 mounted to the ends of an axle 4 to the bottom of the tank.
Now reference is made more particularly to Figure 2 which illustrates the mounting device according to the invention of a wheel 3 of a wheel axle 4.
The impeller 3 includes a hub 5 extending radially outwardly from a web 6 and a rim 7 tape holding the bearing 8.
The wheel comprises a spring 9 having a man larger diameter head 10 mounted radially in a cavity 11 of the web 6, cavity in which is mounted a helical spring 12 bearing against the head 10 of the spring 9 to man.
For fixing the wheel 3 on the axis 4, the lower end of man spring 9 engages in a peripheral groove 13 of the axis 4.
In the inner wall of the veil 6 there is provided a slot 14 and spring man 9 is provided in its enlarged head portion, in the illustrated embodiment, a lug 15 protruding outwards and the veil passing through the slot 14.
We understand that to extract a wheel axis, just push upwards on the drawing, the lug 15 in the slot 14, causing the spring to man the release of its receiving groove 13 of the wheel axle.
In the illustrated embodiment, the slot 14 is formed on an inner side of the web.
It is of course possible to also perform slot on the opposite side of the web, that is to say the one facing outwards or a slot on both sides of the veil.
While the invention has been described in connection with a particular embodiment, it is obvious that it is not limited and can bring him various changes and modifications without departing from its scope or not of his mind.
