Seal member for cable assembly in cable channel.
Abstract
For the watertight and gastight fixing of cable assemblies in closed or also split cable channels, a sealing member is proposed which consists essentially of an integral supporting disc and an integral pressure disc, both being equipped with a retaining ring which can be latched in, between which a sealing disc is arranged which is provided with weak points and consists of a suitable elastomer. The compression of the sealing disc by means of one or more clamping elements in the axial direction causes a radial expansion of the sealing disc, as a result of which watertight and gastight fixing takes place between the individual cable assemblies and the surrounding cable channel.

The invention relates to a sealing element, with the finished cable pulls water to the surrounding cable duct pipe and gas-tight fixed.
Such devices are known per se. These are generally only used when there are in each cable pulls no cable.
With the DE 38 16 031 A1 a sealing member has been proposed that is also applicable to already occupied with cables cable coatings within a protective tube. The outer plate is more divided, which may may result in adverse conditions to difficulties in mounting.
The invention as described in the claims, achieves the object to eliminate the drawbacks of the known sealing element.
Here is where the invention.
The proposed solution overcomes this deficiency by the pressure plate 1 consists of only one part.
The invention is explained with reference to an embodiment shown in the figure.
The sealing member shown in the figure, as the supporting disc 3, consists essentially of a one-piece pressure plate 1, which is surrounded by a retaining ring 2, and a sealing plate 4 and at least one predetermined breaking point 4.2. The holder of each cable pulls, which may also have different diameters takes place by means of the pressure plate 1 and the support plate 3 surrounding the retaining ring 2, which in turn consists of only one part, if necessary, this retaining ring 2, which in the pressure plate 1 and the support disk 3 locks, also be two or more parts. This retaining ring 2 also has the task of creating a flat contact surface for the rubber sealing element, which allows a uniform deformation thereof.
The same also applies to the arranged behind the pressure plate 1 supporting disc 3, which can be the same or similar to the pressure plate 1 in their geometrical design and is also enclosed with a retaining ring 2nd
It is also advantageous that arranged between the pressure and support disc 1, 3 gasket 4 made of a suitable elastomer. The penetrations 4.1 of the sealing disk 4 are matched to the diameter of cable trains that results in a simple and safe installation. If no cable is present and end the cable pulls the multiple pipe in the shaft, the sealing element can be even pushed onto the cable pulleys. However, if the available cables, the sealing disk 4 is provided with predetermined breaking points is to separate at these locations on site so that the sealing element can be placed over the existing cable. Only those predetermined breaking points are advantageously to separate, which are required for the application, depending on the number, of the cable.
The axial clamping of the sealing element by means of tensioning elements 5. These comprise, inter alia as tie rods ausgebildten bolts.
The strain is preferably absorbed using. achieved tightening cams; but it can also be achieved by other clamping elements such as threaded bolts with nuts or by wedging action.
As for bracing the sealing element high forces are required are advantageously a plurality of clamping members, ie, at least two are provided. If only one tendon, as may be provided for lack of space, is may with inadmissible deformations of pressure or support disc 1, 3, expected result of the occurring forces.
A further advantage of the subject invention is based on the fact that the sealing member absorbed not only for tubes having a circular inner diameter, but also with. Half pipes can be used with differently designed inner surfaces.
Again, 2.1 or 4.3, to remove both the two retaining rings as well as the sealing plate 4 the recesses characterized by predetermined breaking points. Incidentally point pressure and support disc 1, 3 have similar configurations, which correspond the inner surface of a half-tube.
