Method for diverting or forwarding calls in telephone exchanges.
Abstract
2.1 Automatic selective call diversion or call forwarding is to take place on an incoming call depending on information identifying the caller, with no need in each case for manual inputs for the call diversion concerned. 2.2 A call diversion controller is provided which is allocated to a called station and contains a call memory, in which the addresses or telephone numbers of possible callers are stored. Addresses or telephone numbers of stations which are to be activated on call diversion are assigned to this information, which in each case identifies a caller, and are read into the memory. A register is provided in which the information identifying the origin of a current incoming call is received and temporarily stored. This information is compared with the addresses of possible callers. When a match is found, the associated address or telephone number is made available to the other station which is to be called for a further call set-up. 2.3 The method enables a precisely designated diversion station to be activated during call diversion or call forwarding, specifically dependent on the respective incoming call. <IMAGE>

p0001The invention relates to a method for call diversion or call forwarding in communications switching systems according to the preamble of claim 1.
p0002In the DE-book "Communication Networks: Principles and system features in telephone and data networks" by H. Oden are starting on page 98 under the heading "Absence Services' characteristics that affect a diversion, or a further send or redirection of calls. If Forwarding calls the switching system is input the phone number of a spare port, then all the original goal achieved calls are diverted to the. This so-called search circuit is adapted to control a single replacement target. If, as mentioned on page 99, a spare port to be determined case by case, so paging systems are required for this. For this it is necessary that incoming calls are routed to an operating service court from where the paging system can be activated. When it is determined in this manner, where the requested person is staying, so can be conveyed in a known way there by a manual operation procedure of the call.
p0003The Next Send calls may be effected by an exchange of, or be provided with a subscriber. In the above features only a single target is provided, and there is no automatic selection of a replacement target possible.
p0004A discreet call forwarding is known from EP-OS 0,216,381. It is a device which is provided in terminals which are connected to an Integrated Services Digital Network. In such a digital network is provided that a one caller identifying information to the called station is transmitting. This information appears in the respective called terminal. The subscriber can then decide whether he wants to accept the call in question or not. Furthermore, the called subscriber has the possibility to forward the incoming call in question to a different location. To this end, a participant must enter the phone number or address that point manually to the call in question should be forwarded. The resulting information is transmitted in a signaling channel to the switching system, so that there the diversion can be performed. To accomplish this feature, the display must be monitored so that depending on the immediate caller a suitable alternate destination can be determined. However, this means that a person must be present at the respective called terminal.
p0005The object of the invention is to provide a method with which an automatic selective call forwarding or call transfer can take place at an incoming call in response to a caller identifying information. It shall not be necessary that a person at the originally driven body must be present in order to provide manual control inputs for call forwarding or call transfer can.
p0006To achieve this object, a combination of features is provided as set forth in claim. 1
p0007This is achieved in an advantageous manner that when a call diversion or call forwarding to a caller optimum replacement point can be offered if can not be accepted on the originally triggered place the call. For example, a customer who wishes to speak a particular, but not present clerk, be connected to a representative who has been informed of the affairs of the client concerned. The diversion destination or Call Forwarding is therefore respectively driven, depending on the origin of an incoming call.
p0008In the dependent claims, advantageous variants and embodiments of the invention are given.
p0009An embodiment of the invention is explained in detail with reference to drawings. It shows<ul><li>FIG. 1 shows the block diagram of a communications switching system with integrated Rufumleitesteuerung.</li><li>FIG. 2 is a block diagram of a communications switching system with accommodated in a data processing device Rufumleitesteuerung.</li><li>FIG. 3 is a block diagram of a communications switching system with accommodated in a subscriber terminal Rufumleitesteuerung.</li><li>Fig. 4 shows the block diagram of a Rufumleitesteuerung.</li></ul>
p0010The illustrated in FIG. 1 communications switching system KVA includes a central controller ZST and cooperating with this Rufumleitesteuerung RST. Assume that an incoming call AV to be switched through to a called subscriber station GT based on the received selection information. Thus, a link would be to a connected subscriber terminal TEG1. Now, when a call diversion or call forwarding is enabled for this called subscriber location GT, so the incoming call AV to another location, the Umleitestelle UT must be turned on. By this, a subscriber terminal Tegn example connected. To illustrate this, a switching network KF is shown with a changeover.
p0011In order to control an incoming connection AV to the respective desired Umleitestelle UT, the received information AI is passed on the origin of the compound along with the choice of information, featuring the originally called subscriber station GT from the central controller ZST to the Rufumleitesteuerung RST. The Rufumleitesteuerung RST then generates an address or phone number RU a Umleitestelle UT and transfers them to the central control ZST. As this number or address is generated RU in detail will be described later with reference to Fig. 4. The central controller ZST is then able to adjust other paths in the switching network KF, so that the incoming call arrives at the AV Umleitestelle UT.
p0012In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2 the Rufumleitesteuerung RST is housed outside the communications switching system KVA within a data processing device DVE. In the event that a call diversion or call forwarding is enabled for a called subscriber station GT, the data processing unit DVE and thus the Rufumleitesteuerung therein receives RST from the central controller ZST as previously described, the data of the called subscriber station GT and the caller information AI. The other processes take so, as has already been described with reference to FIG. 1.
p0013Fig. 3 shows an arrangement in which the Rufumleitesteuerung RST is set in a subscriber terminal TEG1. The operations, which are required for generating an address or phone number for call forwarding or call transfer, proceed in the same manner as has already been described with reference to FIG. 2. In such an arrangement it is possible to store the caller ASP, the details of which are explained in more detail with reference to FIG. 4, to accommodate a disk DT, which is inserted into a reader. then it is possible to determine in advance which Umleitestellen UT to be driven by incoming links AV for the user of such a subscriber terminal TEG1.
p0014The incoming links AV may be compounds which are available from another exchange or to connections coming from ports of the same communication switching system KVA. It is also conceivable that the number RU for Umleitestelle UT an outgoing connection is established from the communication switching system from when the Umleitestelle UT is only accessible via a foreign exchange.
p0015The block diagram shown in Fig. 4 shows in more detail the interaction of a control device STE, a caller memory ASP, a register REG and a comparator VG. If the address or phone number of the called subscriber station GT is offered by the communications switching system, so therefore a particular caller memory ASP or corresponding thereto within a larger memory structure is driven. Such selection is of course unnecessary when the Rufumleitesteuerung RST is housed within a subscriber terminal TEG1.
p0016The about an incoming connection AV incoming whose origin identifying information AI is temporarily stored in a register REG. The control device STE, a counter ZÄ now is clocked, which continuously provides addresses for the caller memory ASP. So that the individual lines of the caller memory ASP are addressed. The stored in a special column addresses or phone numbers of possible callers AR read it and offered a comparator VG. When the comparator VG in this process a match between the contained in the register REG Information about the caller AI and one of the addresses or phone numbers of possible callers AR notes, this is first reported to the control device STE so that the respective assigned address or phone number of the case Diversion to call point, z. B. RU1.1, so the Umleitestelle UT can be read. This phone number or address RU passes via an AND gate UG, which is open only in case of positive comparison result to the communications switching system KVA. Thus, as has already been described, the UT Rufumleitestelle driven.
p0017In caller memory ASP can always the origin of an incoming call identifying information AI or each possible Caller AR associated with multiple addresses or phone numbers, z. B. RU1.1 to RU1.m be assigned. There is then the option to read another address, or phone number RU from the caller memory ASP when the first driven Umleitestelle UT is busy or for other reasons can not be achieved.
p0018Furthermore, another number or address RW is in the caller memory ASP in the last line entered, which will be read out when there is no match between the origin of an incoming call identifying information AI and the addresses or phone numbers of possible callers AR could be detected during a search cycle. So if an incoming connection AV information AI brings about their origin, their data is not stored in the caller memory ASP, so this further address or phone number RW is read. This ensures that in any case take place a call diversion or call forwarding, so that an incoming call can be answered AV.
p0019The entry of data in the caller memory ASP can be done in a manner not shown, either directly from a subscriber terminal, eg. B. TEG1 from which the identity identifier of this terminal (GT) driven the concerned caller memory ASP or a corresponding region within a larger memory structure becomes. It must then each first number or address of a potential caller, z. B. AR1, are entered, and then the associated numbers or addresses, in the example RU1.1 to RU1.m. The input of all data necessary for a caller memory ASP can however also be carried out from a central point. When entering such data, a dialogue between the Rufumleitesteuerung RST and the input device may take place. The data stored in a caller memory ASP data can be displayed or printed out for checking.
p0020When call forwarding or call forwarding can also be possible to proceed in that first the original called place GT is driven, and the Rufumleitesteuerung RST is only activated when the call state for some time is without a subscriber is received. Also in this case, is possible using the RST Rufumleitesteuerung selective call forwarding or call forwarding.
