A multichannel communication processing system includes line control means (A) for analyzing receiving frames and channel-controlling transmitting frames, DMA control means (B) for transferring the data not via a host processor (4) but directly to a main memory (3), a memory (11) for storing a variety of data and a communication protocol processing program, a CPU (10) for controlling the communication processing system as a whole, and a line correspondence means (C) including line correspondence units (61 - 68) provided between the lines (RL, TL) and the line control means (A), whereby serial interfaces with channels of the plurality of lines (RL, TL) are effected.
