p0001The invention relates to a subscriber line module for connecting a plurality of subscriber terminals to an integrated services digital network ISDN.
p0002In ISDN is for connecting subscriber terminals of the so-called network termination NT defines the network side via the likewise defined UOInterface completes the transfer section to the local exchange and the subscriber side, ie to connect digital terminals, an internationally standardized subscriber network interface SO contains. To SOInterface are digital (ISDN) terminal units of directly connectable.
p0003To connect analog devices, which are only intended for connection to an analog telephone network, a terminal adapter TA between the terminal and SOInterface necessary (ISDN practice, KH Rosenbrock, G. Hentschel, loose-leaf edition, ISBN 3-923759-10-X (base 1988), sections 3.2 and 5.4).
p0004Especially when existing, working in analog technology devices already should be used, this terminal adapter TA is a very expensive solution.
p0005The invention has the technical object to realize a universal subscriber line module, which allows low cost connection of any analog or digital terminal equipment to an integrated services digital network ISDN.
p0006This object is achieved by the teaching of claim 1.
p0007The universal subscriber line module, which may be part of a digital terminal advantageously, is controlled by an already existing rule microprocessor, a "small" exchange realized with analog and digital devices, so that control of internal traffic between analog and analog or analog and digital or digital and digital devices in the simplest way possible. In addition, ISDN features can be converted to the analog terminals.
p0008is through the universal subscriber line module, by appropriate programming of the control unit and storing configuration parameters, prinzipell any analog terminal operable together with one or more digital terminal or terminals in the ISDN.
p0009Further advantageous embodiments of the subject invention are disclosed in the dependent claims.
p0010An embodiment is explained below with reference to the drawing.
p0011The drawing shows a block diagram of the universal subscriber line module according to the invention.
p0012A universal subscriber line module 1 consists of a Steuereinehit 2, which includes a digital memory 3rd The control unit 2 and the memory 3 are interconnected by an internal system bus. 4
p0013Furthermore, a digital subscriber interface 6, ie SOInterface, for connecting digital (ISDN) terminal units of the system bus 9 is connected to the fourth
p0014To connect analog terminals 10 an analog subscriber interface 11 is connected to the system. 4
p0015In addition, as shown in the figure, a wireless subscriber interface 12 can be connected for wireless terminals 13, such as cordless telephones to the system. 4 Further, the universal subscriber line module 1 includes a system bus connected to the 4 digital network interface 5, a so-called UOInterface, which serves for the preparation of a compound having an integrated services digital network eighth
p0016Usually necessary parts, such as power and clock supply are not shown for reasons of clarity.
p0017To be able to universally connect all analog and digital devices to the digital network, the digital memory 3 of the control unit 2 contains all the necessary for functional control and Übewachung configuration parameters.
p0018Thus, the subscriber line module of the invention can be adjusted 1 Simple programming at any terminal configurations.
p0019To access the digital network ISDN - 2 x 64 kbit / s B-channels for news, 1 x 16 kbit / s D-channel for signaling - to access the internal system bus 4 is constructed as follows. The framework consists of four octets, with the first two octets two 64 kbit / s B-channels is transmitted in the third octet supervisory information and the fourth octet signaling and control information (including 2 bits for the D-channel).
p0020The subscriber interfaces 6, 11, 12 take over the implementation of and the internal system bus 4. The digital subscriber interface 6 is as SOInterface or as UPoInterface for ISDN terminals adapted with a 4- or 2-wire connection is possible.
p0021About the analog subscriber interface 11, an adaptation of an analog subscriber line (a / b) or an affiliated analogue terminal bus system on the internal system bus 4, wherein the analog subscriber interface 11 in essentially a 2-wire / 4-wire conversion and a signaling -Implementation and performs analog-to-digital conversion and digital-to-analog conversion includes a codec.
p0022According via the wireless subscriber interface 12 is a reaction to the internal system bus 4 for wireless terminals 13, such as for wireless telephones.
p0023In addition, the subscriber line module according to the invention allows an internal traffic for the subscriber side connected terminals 9, 10,. 13 For performing a subscriber-side internal traffic three predetermined signaling sequences are stored in the digital memory, so that as a result of a subscriber-side connection establishment, controlled by the control unit 2, there is a through-connection of a connection between two terminals, without the need for signaling over the UOInterface 5 is carried to the ISDN network. 8
p0024There are connections between analog and digital terminals, or between analog and analog devices but also made between digital and digital terminals (eg family telephone system with analog devices, a cordless phone and an ISDN terminal).
p0025An incoming call is controlled by the control unit 2, in parallel via the subscriber interface 6, 11, 12 to all connected terminals 9, 10, 13 applied so that an incoming call from digital and analog terminals can be accepted.
p0026Furthermore, there is the possibility, internal transfer the call from one terminal to another terminal due to a predetermined, stored in digital memory 2 signaling sequence.
p0027If a terminal is already in a busy state, an incoming call is applied in parallel to any unused terminals, at the same time can give a hint to the occupied terminal (call waiting). If an ISDN terminal with data display the phone number of the calling subscriber may be additionally displayed.
p0028It is also predetermined that an incoming call only to individual devices, for example, only to the terminals, which are in the living room of a house (but not in the bedroom) installed, can be applied.
p0029Since normally digital terminals 9 have its own control unit may, according to another embodiment of the invention, the universal subscriber line module 1 designed as an integral part of the ISDN terminal, with the functions of the control unit 2 of the subscriber line module 1 through the control unit of the digital terminal 9 can be performed.
p0030The universal subscriber line module 1 thus enables optimum adaptation to existing terminal configurations and their performance characteristics in combination with the advantages of an ISDN network termination.
p0031In addition, any time an extension / modification of the terminal configuration analog and digital possible without significant additional effort by simple programming.
