Cover for a luggage compartment for automobiles.
Abstract
A cover for a luggage compartment for motor vehicles, in particular for estate cars, has a cover tarpaulin which can be guided longitudinally by means of support rods in guide rails and folded. Each support rail is held in the two guide rails with C-profiles in a manner which is essentially immune to tensile forces and pressure forces in relation to the longitudinal central axis of the support rod 19 by means of its end-side guide body engaging there. In order to avoid jamming due to tilting in an oblique position of the support rods, provision is made for the end face, which points towards the inner surface of the guide rail-side profile floor, and/or the inner end face, which points towards the flanges, of each guide body to be provided with at least one convexly curved contact area for the inner face of the profile floor and for the inner face of the flanges, respectively.

The invention relates to a loading space cover for motor vehicles, in particular for estate cars, as it has become known according to the preamble of claim 1 by the DE-OS 33 14 444th
The known load compartment cover is concerned with the task of creating an easy to use arrangement in which a leading to sluggishness or blocking Verkantungsklemmung is avoided. With the known loading bay cover, this object is achieved in that each guide body is relativverschieblich of its tensile position relative to its associated supporting rod against the restoring force of a spring over an axial Toleranzhub in his flameproof position. This eliminates the sprung limited axial displaceability between support rod and guide body any Verkantungsklemmung between guide body and the guide rail. In this way, the known load compartment cover can be opened easily in any case and close. In addition, the known load compartment cover with its limited axial displaceability allows the balancing of the body side related installation tolerances, which also usually lead to a sluggish operation.
Starting from the known load compartment cover (DE-OS 33 14 444), the present invention is concerned with the task of improving the operability in the sense of avoiding binding and blocking by Verkantungsklemmung by other means. These funds are also associated with counter spring telescoping support rods (inside width of the mounting panel) are also suitable for the use of load space covers for holds with non-uniform cross width.
This object was achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1. Thereafter, the ostensive to the inner surface of the profile bottom outer face and / or pointing toward the flanges inner face of each guide body are each provided with a convex curved contact area of the inner surface of the profile base and the inner surface of the flanges. This means that the guide body, either the inner surfaces of the flanges or a flange inner surface or the inner surfaces of the profile soil never contact relative at accidentally induced skew their carrying rod to the guide rails with an edge, but with a curved surface, which a Verkantungsklemmung of house avoids either or makes easily canceled. Convex curved contact portions at the outer end faces of the guide bodies are then used when the support rods against spring force are telescopically inserted in, for example, located towards the rear narrowing holds. In the event, however, that the support rods are in such a narrowing of the hold telescopically contractible with tension spring, the convex curved contact portions come to the inner end surfaces of the guide body is used.
In a further embodiment, the outer face is formed each guide body convex spherical cap, in particular about convex halbkugelkalottenförmig as contact area.
Although the guide body itself as rotatable rollers may be formed about the longitudinal axis of the associated supporting rod, an embodiment has proved to be advantageous, according to which each guide body is formed approximately in the manner of a sliding block scenes. This training provides the opportunity to freely projecting provide a contact area of an end face or both end surfaces of each guide body at least one guide roller whose rotational axis extends approximately parallel to the guide slot of the guide rail plane. Depending on which area of contact - as mentioned above - is in question, the guide rollers, either the outer face or the inner face or both faces of the respective management body are assigned.
A suitably adapted configuration of the guide rail with respect to the tilt-tung-or. -jamming function of the guide body is that which is the integrally formed downwardly facing profile web is wider than the lower flange and upper flange that the longitudinal central axis of the supporting rod is offset relative to the sliding-block guide body eccentrically upwards.
These above-described configuration forms the basis for further features of the invention, according to which at least one guide roller in the amount of the inner surface of the lower flange is arranged. A particularly advantageous embodiment consists then in the fact that on both sides of the longitudinal central axis of the support bar - seen in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail - has ever placed an indicative to the inner surface of the lower flange leadership.
Thus, the guide body obtain sufficient axial movement relative to the flanges of the guide rails, it has proven to be expedient to provide the axial length of the particular for the engagement of at least one flange leadership bodyside guide with a large axial play, but in particular in such a way that the axial about approximated length of the guide body side guide or at least equal to half the clear cross wide width of a guide rail.
In the drawings, the loading space cover according to the invention is illustrated in more detail by means of preferred embodiments, show it,

FIG. 1 is a schematic representation of two guide rails with itself located in Geradzug-position support rod, omitting the fold-tarpaulin and other support rods,

Fig. 2 is a comparison with FIG. 1 enlarged partial sectional view corresponding to the sectional line II-II in Fig. 1 and

Fig. 3 shows the arrangement according to FIG. 1 at an angle.

From the drawings are two guide rails 10 can be seen, the profile of which is C-shaped. Accordingly, the guide rail profile (Fig. 2) two flanges 11 (upper flange), 12 (lower flange), an upper profile web 13, a lower profile web 14 and finally a two profile webs 13, 14 interconnecting the profile bottom 15.
The lower flange 12 is wider than the upper flange dimensioned 11th
The inner surface of the profile base 15 is designated 16, while the inner surfaces of the flanges 11 and 12 bear the reference numerals 17, 18th
One of the support rods for supporting the non-drawn inwardly foldable flexible cover is denoted by the nineteenth
At both ends of the support rod 19 a guide body 20 is fixed depending.
The support rods 19 may be rigid or telescopic design in a manner not shown in terms of its axial length.
The telescoping takes place here against spring force. If the spring force caused by a compression spring, the two guide bodies 20 would try auseinanderzustreben according to double arrow D.
In the event that the telescopic should be done with the aid of a tension spring, the two guide bodies 20 would aufeinanderzubelastet according to the double arrow Z.
According to one embodiment, it is possible that the inner surface 16 of the profile bottom 15 facing the outer end face 21 of the guide body has a teilkugelkalottenförmigen extension 22, which is shown in broken lines (in each case on the left illustrated guide body 20) in Figs. 1 and 3.
According to a preferred embodiment, according to which the guide member 20 in the manner of a sliding block scenes - as shown - and in accordance with
Fig. 2 is in favor of an increase in its lower region asymmetrically x formed to the central longitudinal axis of the guide body 20 or in the longitudinal direction y of the guide rail of the longitudinal center axis x in each case a guide roller 23 mounted symmetrically on both sides on the guide body 20 10 in the direction of displacement.
The rotation axis 24 of each guide roller 23 in this case extends parallel to the plane E of the designated 25, between the narrow surfaces of the flanges 11, 12 formed guide slot.
Only additionally be noted that for the sake of drawing simplification, the area of the guide body shown in the drawings on the right is labeled 20 incomplete.
In conjunction with FIG. 3 it is clear that in case of accidental tilting of the support rod 19 can not give Verkantungsklemmung because each one guide roller 23 of each guide body 20 can roll on the inner surface 18 of the lower flange 12.
The arrangement shown in Figs. 1-3 of the rollers 23 adjacent to the lower flange 12 is adapted in the event of telescoping of the support rod 19 for a Zugfederbelastung according to double arrow Z.
should be carried out for the case however, that the telescopic capability of a supporting rod 19 pressure is spring-loaded in accordance with the double arrow D, should the two guide rollers 23 not be located at the inner end face 26 of the guide body 20 but rather on the outer end surface 21 of each guide body twentieth
From the drawings it can also be seen that the guide body side guide groove 27 is formed in x direction of the longitudinal axis very long and in the present case has an axial length which corresponds to at least half the clear width w of the guide rail 10th The large axial length of the guide groove 27 is important for verklemmungs- or tilt-free tilt of a support rod 19 in the illustrated embodiment.
The guide body 20 are made of a lubricious plastic, for example of PA, and 19 are for example positively fastened in the ends of the support rods formed of a polygonal hollow steel profile in an expedient manner.
Referring to FIG. 3 is also conceivable that the cross width Q may change between the guide rails 10 in adaptation to the loading chamber side mounting box. In such a case are longitudinally x with or without spring telescoping carrying rods 19 precondition.
