Air-guiding device for lorries and towing vehicles.
Abstract
Technical object Reduction of the coefficient of air resistance with economically optimised measures in a range of vehicles with different dimensions with simultaneous evaluation in terms of design of the entire vehicle. Solution of the technical object In heavy goods vehicles, in particular articulated lorries, having driver's cabins with different outer dimensions and semitrailers of different heights, a uniform, enclosed appearance with identical flow conditions is obtained by means of an air-guiding device at the junction between driver's cabins of different dimensions and semitrailers (2) of different heights connected thereto, using a kit of junction elements which complement each other in terms of streamlining and design, consisting of an air-guiding wing (5) which is arranged mainly on the rear part of the driver's cabin roof (3) is height adjustable and of uniform dimensions for all driver's cabin types, of uniform air-guiding plates (6a,6b) mounted adjustably (17) on the sides of the rear wall of the driver's cabin (4) and of uniform intermediate elements (7a,7b,8a,8b) arranged between the air-guiding wing (5) and driver's cabin roof (3) as well as between the air-guiding wing (5) and air-guiding plates (6a,6b) and connecting the latter. Heavy goods vehicles, in particular articulated lorries.

p0001The invention relates to lorries, especially articulated lorries, with cabs of different external dimensions and trailers of different heights with Windleiteinrichtungen as a transition between the cab and trailer.
p0002Such Windleiteinrichtungen which serve to reduce the Cw value, ie a reduction of fuel consumption, are known in a variety of embodiments, wherein cabs of different dimensions are also assigned to different figured skirting, the same a mixed appearance with different flow conditions within a range of trucks mediate and make as.
p0003The invention is based, with cabs of different external dimensions, with economically optimized measures while creative appreciation of the entire vehicle to reduce the drag coefficient in trucks, especially articulated lorries, the task.
p0004This is achieved through a single, unified appearance with the same flow conditions in which the wind-deflecting device arranged in the transition between cabs of different external dimensions and subsequent trailers of different heights using a kit to aerodynamically and aesthetically complementary transition elements consisting of a predominantly at the rear portion of the cab roof, height-adjustable, uniform in size for all cab variants slipstream deflector, the side of the cab rear wall adjustable fixed, uniform skirting and arranged between slipstream deflector and cab roof and between slipstream deflector and side skirting, connecting them uniform intermediate elements. Of such is used in all cab variants of and make as, whether it is a long narrow, a long wide or short narrow head, a kit of the same elements are used, while the dimensional differences defined in the cabs through clear, but different joints between the individual elements of the kit to be bridged and the visual impression is laminated formal. Besides the advantages of uniform flow conditions and a consequent uniform fuel consumption and a uniform appearance results in a greater efficiency due to the reduction of tools, lower inventories, standardized production and assembly.
p0005A special feature of Windleitflügelform is the large lateral rounding the profile section which, in conjunction with the intermediate elements a creative adaptation to different cab variants. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are disclosed in the dependent claims.
p0006The invention is shown in several embodiments.
p0007Show it:

FIG. 1 is a cab in a side view,

FIG. 2 a cab in the front view (long wide version)

FIG. 3 is a cab in the front view (long narrow version)

Fig. 4 is a section AA in the front view of FIG. 1,

FIG. 5 shows section B-B in the plan view of Fig. 2,

Fig. 6 truck in the front view,

Fig. 7 trucks in the rear perspective.

p0008Figures 1, 2, 3 show a truck with a driver's cab 1 and an adjoining semi-trailer 2. In the cab roof 3, preferably in the rear area, is via an adjustment 15 (Fig. 7) adjustable slipstream deflector 5 are mounted, the free end 18 to the different upper edges 19 of the semitrailer 2 can be aligned according to their height. The transition from the cab 3 to Semitrailer 2 takes place at the sides by the wind guide plates 6a and 6b, which in all cab variants at the same distance from the cab page limit set at the pivot points 17 (FIG. 5), in its projection to the outside at the rear cab wall 4 side boundary of the semitrailer 2 with varying gap formation 14, arranged. The transition between slipstream deflector 5 and the side skirting 6a, 6b is formed by between elements 8a, 8b in the eingekragten sidewalls 13 (Fig. 7) of Windleitflügels 5, this under cross, protrude. Over the intermediate elements 7a, 7b, the connection between cab roof 3 and slipstream deflector 5 is produced, using different gap formation 12 for all cab variants using the same intermediate elements a uniform flow profile and appearance is achieved. The joint 12 is located behind the skylight, is not visible from the front, and therefore does not interfere with the appearance. According to FIG. 6 Rundwülste 10 are formed on the deflector 5 at the corners, the grooves 7b, the conical result together with the intermediate elements 7a, 11. This results in conjunction with which the roof ward tapered slipstream deflector 5, the airfoil 16. By means of a uniform set of elements can therefore cabs different outer dimension in conjunction with trailers of different heights are equipped with a single wind-deflecting device, about the optimal Cw values and, consequently, a lower fuel consumption can be achieved, whereby a uniform appearance is mediated by different gap formation between the individual elements.
