Improved version management tool

A system for preserving, generating, and merg­ing different versions of a common module that utilizes a line file storing the text of every line in a version and addressing each line with a unique line identifier. Any desired version may be generated directly without creating intermediate versions. The unique line identi­fiers facilitate a merge operation that does not dupli­cate lines.
