Wheel chair.
Abstract
In the wheelchair for handicapped and sick patients, which is driven by an electric motor, each driven wheel (1) with its drive (2) is provided with a separate suspension relative to the chair frame (3), a telescopic spring in the form of a gas compression spring, a shock absorber or the like being provided as the suspension (4) for each driven wheel (1). The spring (4) engages with one end in a joint of the drive (2), seated on the wheel axle (6), and is secured by the other end in a joint (7) on the chair frame (3). In a preferred manner, the two rear wheels (1) are driven and are provided with a spring suspension relative to the chair frame (3).

The invention relates to an electric motor-driven wheelchair for disabled and sick.
In the known electric motor-driven wheelchairs which is flanged to the driven wheels drives with these wheels against the chair frame is rigidly arranged so that, when occurring road bumps lifting of one or the other wheel of the roadway is created and thereby the drive unevenly and steering the wheelchair is greatly impaired.
The object of the invention is to provide while avoiding the aforementioned shortcomings improved wheelchair, wherein the driven wheels, even with uneven road surfaces, always with the road to keep in touch and thereby a uniform drive and proper steering of the wheelchair is ensured.
This object is achieved in that each driven wheel is cushioned separately with its electric motor drive relative to the chair frame.
Further features of the invention can be taken from the other dependent claims and the subject of the invention extends not only to the characteristics of the individual claims, but also to their combination.
The invention provides a separate cushion the driven wheelchair wheels has been created which compensate independently road bumps and thereby always remain with the roadway in contact, causing a uniform drive of the wheelchair and impeccable steering opportunity arises.
Thereby, the wheelchair person using obtains a safe vehicle behavior and by mitigating between driven wheels and chair frame an optimum seating property.
The cushion is made of simple and cost-saving telescopic springs, which are articulated between the drive and the chair frame.
IN a preferred manner, the rear wheels of the wheelchair are driven and sprung, but there is also the possibility of the drive and the cushion on the front wheels of the wheelchair to lay.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown, which will be explained in more detail below. It shows:

FIG. 1 is a side view of a wheelchair with arranged between driving the rear wheels and the seat frame suspension,

FIG. 2 is a rear view of the wheelchair with the two drives for one wheel and the drive provided for each suspension.

The electric motor driven wheelchair for disabled and sick each driven wheel is (1) with its associated drive (2) with respect to the seat frame (3) formed cushioned separately.
As suspension (4) in each case a telescopic spring is provided in the form of a gas spring or a shock absorber. The spring (4) for each driven wheel (1) is with one end in a joint (5) of the on the wheel axle (6) seated drive (2) and with its other end in a joint (7) on the chair frame (3 ) established, whereby the wheel (1) is resiliently mounted with the drive (2) with respect to the seat frame (3).
Preferably, the two rear wheels (1) of the wheelchair motorized each driven by a drive (2) and cushioned against the chair frame (3).
The two drives (2) are movably connected by ball joint rods (8) to the seat frame (3), whereby the spring movements occur with bumps in the road wheel (1) relative to the seat frame (3) are cleared.
This ball joint rods (8) on the axles (6) seated drives (2) to be secured against axial rotation simultaneously.
The ball joint rods (8) with a longitudinal end in the central region of the wheelchair to a strut (3a) of the seat frame (3) and hinged at the other longitudinal end to a drive (2).
The wheelchair according to the invention equipped with a sprung double drive as a drive system.
