  1. 1
A radiation clinical thermometer (70) comprising:a probe including an optical system (2) constituted by focusing means (2a) for focusing infrared radiation from an object (L) to be measured and a filter (2b) having transmission wave-length characteristics, an infrared sensor (3a) for converting infrared radiation energy focussed thereon by said focusing means and transmitted through the filter into an electrical signal, and a temperature-sensitive sensor (3b) for measuring a temperature of said infrared sensor (3a) or an ambient temperature (T o ) thereof;detection signal processing means (4;50) for receiving electrical signals from said infrared sensor (3a) and said temperature-sensitive sensor (3b) and outputting the electrical signals as infrared data and temperature-sensitive data, respectively;body temperature operating means (5) for calculating body temperature data comprising    a display unit (6) for displaying a body temperature in accordance with the body temperature data,    characterised in that the infrared sensor (3a), the temperature sensitive sensor (3b), the focusing means (2a) and the filter (2b) are connected to each other by a housing (19) having high thermal conductivity so as to be kept in a thermal equilibrium state,    and in that the body temperature operating means (5) comprise filter correcting means (5b) for setting a correction value based on the transmission wavelength characteristics of said filter (2b), wherein said body temperature operating means (5) receives the infrared data, the temperature-sensitive data, and the correction value from said filter correcting means (5b) so as to calculate body temperature data.
  2. 15
A thermometer according to any one of claims 1 to 14, further characterised by    a zero detector (63) for receiving the infrared data output from said detection signal processing means (50) and determining presence/absence of the infrared data, wherein said zero detector (63) outputs a detection signal when the infrared data is determined to a zero or a small value.
