The invention relates to a collapsible container with a bottom and four side walls which are interconnected by two foldable arranged gusset portions.

Such collapsible containers are known in practice; they have the decisive disadvantage that the gore-sections must be adhered directly to a side wall. This requires a significant outlay on machinery; Hand these known collapsible containers are therefore hardly raise.

From DE-OS 36 10 615 a collapsible container is furthermore known which is constructed so as to brace the sides against each other and so remain in their upright position. This solution is very easy to erect, but it does not provide absolute security against unintentional folding of the container.

The invention is now the object of proposing a collapsible container of the aforementioned type which is simple to erect, but nevertheless ensures absolute safety against unintentional folding.

This object is achieved in that on each one of the gusset portions, a flap is formed, which is after the folding up of the side walls on the outside of a side wall and is fixed there.
