Squeezable valve for fluid conduits.
Abstract
A valve in a resilient, of a fluid permeable sheath surrounding the closure body sealingly and is by squeezing on the closing body partially from the closure body can be raised to be improved such that its operation can be carried out even for inexperienced people easily and without the aid of hand is. For this purpose, it is provided that the closure body by two of the inner wall of the shell (1) applied in mutually spaced supporting bodies (4,5) is formed, wherein the distance for the formation of a squeezing zone (Q) substantially equal to the distance from the wall of the sheath (1) equivalent.

The invention relates to a valve according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such valves are used to shut-off and opening of gases or liquids, as for example with a pipette filler known to the aspiration of fluids is the case in pipettes. Such Pipette are sold by fire, Laboratory, DE under item no. 253 00 sold.
The known Pipette own suction and ventilation valve body in the form of balls which are accommodated in the respective elastic suction and vent lines. The respective line is a shell around a sphere and enclosing the peripheral sealing. By partially squeezing the envelope against the hard surface of the sphere deviates from the shell of the pressure force and stands out from the non-pressure-bearing periphery of the ball. Thus, the flow path is released.
The known valves can only be operated by hand, as has to be pinched to open the resting against the inner wall of the casing circumference of the ball. A pinch before or after this abutting periphery (great circle of the sphere) only leads to an increased closure of the line. So it comes down to having a trained, initially groping handle to find the right for the pinch point on the line.
In many applications, however, it is necessary not to actuate valves of the type mentioned by hand, because the hands must remain free for other work. One such application is for. Example, before, when the valve is used inside a drinking conduit for receiving liquid foods or medications for the support of a protective suit and / or a hood. This may, for. Example, in a pilot during a flight, or to the institution of a protective suit or a protective mask during the stay in poisonous or contaminated atmosphere are necessary.
One such application is described in FR 747,066. There, the valve is located outside the mask and must be operated manually. A violation of the tube downstream of the valve would allow an undesirable ingress of contaminants into the interior of the mask. A displacement of the valve in the mask interior makes its operation impossible.
The present invention has for its object to improve a valve of the type mentioned so that its operation is feasible even for untrained people easily and without the aid of the hand.
The problem is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
The advantage of the invention lies essentially in the fact that between the supporting bodies a wider nip area is available which can be compressed easily and safely when used manually. What matters now is not more important to make a linear possible peripheral zone around the closure body. Even slight deviations from the center of the nip lead to an opening of the valve.
For the application in the hood of a protective suit, the valve may in the hood inside so as an end piece of a feed line, are mounted so that it can be opened for example for sucking liquid food with teeth and simultaneously sucked through the line food. The crush zone is to be wide enough that it can be felt from the mouth and the teeth and squeezed by clenching. By the terminal application of the valve, the supply line also remains sealed when it is damaged in the area outside of the hood.
It is particularly expedient, circular disk form the supporting body and to connect to a web is. Such a dumbbell-shaped closure body can be easily positioned in any position of a piece of wire. Upon compression of the conduit walls in the squeezing of the web forms a stop, so that the line can not be accidentally pulled the trigger.
It can advantageously be broken through the support body lying upstream, so that the space between the support bodies is constantly filled with the fluid.
To ensure a solid positioning within the wiring, the perforated support element can be received in a recess of the sheath.
An embodiment of the invention is illustrated with reference to a schematic drawing and explained in more detail below:
Show it

Fig. 1 shows a section through a piece of line with the valve body

FIG. 2 is a view on the muzzle end of the line gequetschen piece.

In Fig. 1, the end of a tubular, elastic sleeve (1) is shown as a line piece for a fluid. In the envelope (1) a dumbbell-shaped closure body is inserted, the connected two by a web (2), circular disc-shaped supporting bodies (4,5) consists. The flow direction of the envelope (1) directed fluid indicated by the flow arrows (10). The upstream located supporting body (5) has openings (6) and is in a recess (7) in the sheath (1) is held. The downstream lying supporting body (4) is located at its reaping close to the inner wall of the shell (1) and prevents a further flow of fluid. The web (2) determined by its length, a squish area (Q) of the sheath (1) between the support members (4,5).
To open the valve, the casing (1) within the crush zone (Q) in the direction of opening the arrows (8) depress (Fig. 2) so that the wrapper, assumed in the example with a circular cross section, the compressive force escapes and elliptical bulges (9). In these bulges (9), the fluid on the support body (4) flow past. After releasing the elastic sheath (1), she got back automatically to the supporting body (4) and closes the line.
The operation of the valve can be carried out both by squeezing by hand or through between the supporting bodies (4.5) imprinting teeth of a mask wearer, not shown, which has taken the lead piece in his mouth.
