Mounting fixture which surrounds a motor cycle rear wheel.
Abstract
A mounting fixture engaging around the rear wheel of a motorbike and having lateral mounting components is provided, on which mounting components upwardly oblique side components projecting to the rear are attached which bear a luggage bridge on their upper side. In the closed upper side of the luggage bridge, which in longitudinal section approximates to the profile of a rear spoiler, guide grooves are constructed into which rib-like extensions constructed on the underside of a motorbike case fit if such a case is placed on the bridge. In addition, at the front end of the luggage bridge a swivellable mounting tongue is provided between the two guide grooves, which tongue, when swivelled into the vertical position, can be inserted from below into a shaft, constructed on the underside of the case, with integrated lock and engages in the latter in such a way that the case, which engages with its edge region lying opposite the shaft around the rear part of the luggage bridge, is satisfactorily guided at the sides and securely mounted on the luggage bridge. So that the luggage bridge can be attached on virtually all currently available motorbike types, downwardly open T-shaped transverse slots are constructed on its underside, in which slots securing nuts are received in a steplessly displaceable manner, which nuts can be fixed by means of screw bolts in the corresponding position in accordance with the width of the rear part of the respective motorbike type.

p0001The invention relates to a rear wheel of a motorcycle encompassing support means for luggage, in particular motorcycle panniers, as claimed in the preamble of claim 1.
p0002In DE-GM 77 07 615, such a mounting device for securing pieces of luggage, such as motorcycle Offer, and for the attachment of various signaling devices, such as turn signals, etc. described. This mounting device has in each case a right and left lateral support for motorbike transport case in the form of a substantially rectangular frame member, two fixed to the upper longitudinal spar upwardly projecting frame parts, a transversely thereto mounted luggage rack, as well as attached to the brackets and these interconnecting, longitudinally adjustable cross bracing on , To adapt to the width of the rear section of different types of motorcycles, the frame parts can be mounted both on the outside and on the inside of the side luggage-holders.
p0003Accordingly, then, the frame parts on the inside or outside of downwardly projecting longitudinal rods of the luggage rack mounted. Thereby, the width of these support means twice the thickness of the downwardly projecting longitudinal rods of the luggage rack, plus the thickness of the frame parts, that can be varied approximately in the order of 4 to 5cm.
p0004In order to adapt such support means also to motorcycles with even wider rear sections, 32 49 434 slotted in the two longitudinal rods of the luggage rack recesses are formed according to DE PS; in this either screw nuts or a member can be inserted and fixed by extension platelets, whose other ends are connected to the longitudinal bars of the frame parts in the widening direction of the luggage rack above. With the help of such extension platelets can then be enlarged by about 8cm, the width of the known mounting device nochmlas.
p0005The luggage rack, shown schematically in the DE-PS 32 49 434 has a plurality of openings, which (viewed in the direction of travel) are tapered in the front part of the bridge. are In these breakthroughs when a motorcycle luggage, preferably a so-called top box, to be attached to the luggage rack, projecting from the bottom of such a motorcycle suitcase, open to the front L-shaped hook against which the after when placing the bike suitcase in two front tapered engage breakthroughs. A motorcycle luggage is now pushed so far forward until an attached at the bottom box lock a mounted on the underside of the rear rack, receives rearwardly projecting holding tongue. Once the L-shaped retaining hooks are firmly seated in the tapered apertures in the rear rack, snapped the lock into one of the cutouts of the mounting tongue. Prevent theft the lock is still ongoing.
p0006With this type of mounting and attaching a motorcycle trunk in the form of a top case on a luggage rack, the castle serves as both the backup and the holder of the suitcase on the bridge. Since during a ride a motorcycle severe shocks and vibrations is set out, which serves also to the holder and fuse on the side-mounted brackets and transverse thereto mounted luggage rack lock on the so-called top case be transferred, both this castle and exposed to the attached to the luggage rack bottom bracket tongue high stresses and subjected to great wear.
p0007By penetration of street dust, dirt and water is evident in these parts a particularly rapid wear and high wear. Sometimes, therefore, the transport case is no longer connected firmly and reliably enough with the porter bridge, so that for safety reasons the lock and / or attached to the luggage rack bottom bracket tongue must be replaced.
p0008The object of the invention is therefore, to provide a mounting device for luggage, in particular transport case with a stable and rigid luggage rack, which ensures a good and safe cornering and mount on their attachable panniers in the form of so-called top boxes, and which, moreover, in width without using additional parts to the rear sections of virtually all types of motorcycles currently on offer is adaptable.
p0009According to the invention, this object is achieved with a mounting means for items of baggage, in particular suitcases motorcycle, according to the preamble of claim 1 by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1. An advantageous development of the invention is the subject of claim. 2
p0010According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, guide grooves are formed in a closed upper side of the profile in longitudinal section of a rear spoiler approximate luggage rack in its longitudinal direction. This guide grooves rib-like approaches are adapted formed on the underside of the rear rack fully enclosed and the rear portion encompassing Motorcycle suitcase in the form of a so-called top box. Further, the front end of the luggage rack between the two guide grooves (seen in direction of travel) on provided a substantially rectangular cutout for receiving a folded up in a substantially vertical position holder tongue. Once this support tongue is hochgelappt in its vertical position, it can be inserted from the bottom formed in a bottom in the front center portion of the motorcycle trunk in the form of the top box with integrated shaft lock and then locked in a this lock.
p0011Since the bottom of called top box motorcycle suitcase one of the outer shape of the rear rack adapted, all around extending edge having a particularly good lateral guidance of the mounted on the bridge bike suitcase is created by provided on the suitcase bottom, rib-like approaches. Further, since the round extending edge at the bottom of the case in his (seen in direction of travel) rear portion is formed so that it surrounds this part of the luggage rack, is as soon as the folded-holder tongue is engaged, created a particularly good and reliable guidance and support. The provided on this sort of motorcycle trunk, namely the so-called top box lock is then only the theft and is thus no appreciable stress and thus not exposed to any significant wear.
p0012According to a preferred embodiment of the invention are locknuts by which the luggage rack on top of the bent respectively upward and inward sides is supported, in downwardly open, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (or when mounted perpendicular to the longitudinal axis) running, T- accommodated shaped cross-slots which extend over a large part of the width of the luggage rack, and in which the lock nuts are fixed steplessly displaceable and at any place.
p0013Due to this design, a mounting device, with the inventively designed luggage rack without difficulty to the width of virtually any motorcycle type to be adapted, in a range of approximately 25cm to 42 / 44cm, without for such an adjustment and for Breitenverstellbarkeit the bridge additional parts required are.
p0014Since the luggage rack and the side panels of high-quality, warp-resistant, and highly durable chemical material, namely preferably made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide are, have to save material, preferably, the bottom of the luggage rack and the insides of the side parts regularly trained reinforcing webs on which preferably in the form of honeycombs and are arranged accordingly. By preferably forming a honeycomb pattern on the underside of the rear rack an extremely sturdy, rigid and break of the luggage rack as well as the side panels is created despite the mentioned material savings and the consequent lower weight yet.
p0015The invention will be explained with reference to a preferred embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings in detail. Show it:

1 is a schematic overall perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the rear wheel of a motorcycle encompassing support means with side panels and a connecting these sides luggage rack according to the invention, and

2 is a schematic, exploded view of a luggage rack and a rear rack of the associated side part.

p0016In Figure 1, the rear part of a motorcycle 1 is schematically shown, in which a seat 10, a headband 11, a rear wheel 12, an exhaust 13, a protective plate 15, a footrest 17 for the passenger and a rear un d stoplight 16 and other unspecified and will also not listed parts are visible.
p0017At about the level of the lower edge of the seat 10 support members in the form of boomerang-shaped supporting elements 2 are fixed to the unspecified frame of the motorcycle 1 means in Fig.1 unrecognizable fittings. The lower free end of each support member 1 is mounted on a schematically illustrated fixing member 4 on or in the region of the footrest 65 by screws 41st At the rear free end of the supporting elements 2 a flasher 21 is integrated.
p0018Where in Fig.1 approximately horizontally extending leg of support members 1 rear end, in the region of the blinker 21, that (viewed in the direction of travel) in the preferably angled side parts 6 are mounted whose upper edges are connected by a bridge. 7 As can be seen in more detail in Fig.2, has the luggage rack 7 a closed top without any openings and is approximated to the profile of a rear spoiler in a longitudinal section. On top of the bridge 7 are in their longitudinal direction which is parallel to the vehicle longitudinal axis in the mounted state of the bridge, preferably formed of two guide grooves 71st
p0019On (seen in direction of travel) front end of the luggage rack 7 a cutout between the two guide grooves 71 72 is provided which is so deep that one (seen in direction of travel) at its front end pivotally mounted bracket tongue 3 in the folded position approximately flush with the top racks -Oberseite is. In Fig.2 the holder tongue 3 shown in its folded-up, substantially vertical position. The holder tongue 3 has two equal separated from each other by a center web clippings 31st Furthermore, 7 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of T-shaped cross-slots 73 are formed in the bottom of the luggage rack, which extends over a large part of the width of the rear rack 7, preferably extending to about below the guide groove 71st
p0020The left side part, shown schematically includes a lower, substantially vertical in the mounted state fixing portion 61st This mounting portion 61 merges into an upwardly and obliquely backward extending middle part 62, which on the the mounting portion 61 remote from the end merges its part in a in the assembled state approximately horizontally extending or slightly rising towards the rear portion 63rd At the outer free end of the section 63 have a plurality, preferably three, longitudinal slots are parallel to its outer edge 64ausgebildet. Similarly, two holes 61' are preferably provided in the lower, approximately vertically extending mounting portion 61st In the rear area of the central portion 62 of the side part a wedge-shaped recess 62 'is preferably formed, which is indicated schematically in the perspective view of Fig.1.
p0021Further, rectangular or preferably square lock nuts 74 are shown in Figure 2, which have an internally threaded central bore 75th Moreover schematically two bolts are shown 67 and 67'. Using two bolts 67 can be attached, as can be seen from Figure 1, the side portions 6 at the rear end of the horizontal leg of the supporting element. 2
p0022To secure the perpendicular to the direction of travel to bring the luggage rack 7, three of the T-shaped cross-slots of each side in two preferably 73 locknuts 74 was added, which can be shifted to arbitrary positions in the transverse slots 73rd They are brought into such a position that its internally threaded center hole 75 come to lie in each case more than two and preferably three of the long holes 64 in the upper portion 63 of the side part. 3
p0023Once these exact assignment between inserted in the transverse slots 73 locking nuts 74 and the corresponding elongated holes 64 is reached, through bolts are supported from below by these elongated holes 67' screwed into the respective locking nuts 74 and then - with respect to a final orientation and symmetrical arrangement of the bridge of the vehicle longitudinal axis - tightened.
p0024Since the formed on the underside of the rear rack 7 T-shaped transverse slots over a large part of the width of the luggage rack, preferably to approximately the level of the guide groove 71 extend, the luggage rack 7 can in the manner described above without using additional parts to the rear sections practically all motorcycle types currently on offer are adapted.
p0025The underside of a motorcycle trunk, not shown, a so-called top box, which is to be mounted and supported on the bridge 7, preferably comprises 71 is formed in dimensions corresponding rib-like approaches the guide grooves. Furthermore, the underside of such a top case comprises a from this projecting edge region, whose inside dimensions correspond to the outer dimensions of the luggage rack 7 both in terms of width (transverse to the direction of travel) and in terms of depth (in the direction of travel). The rear area of the luggage rack corresponding 7 part of the edge region is designed such that it not only fully surrounds this area, but also embraces. Further, a slot is formed in the front lower center region of the motorcycle suitcase on its underside, in the region of a lock operable from the outside is integrated.
p0026If a motorcycle luggage in the form of a top case, the underside of which is designed in the manner described above, is to be mounted and supported on the luggage rack 7 of the invention, the pivoted in its holder tongue 3 is first reproduced approximately in a vertical, in Fig.2 placed position.
p0027Now, the top box is placed behind the upper that the holding tongue 3 is inserted into the formed on the top box bottom slot. Immediately before a lock bolt can snap into the top opening 31 of the bracket tab 3, the rack is from its rear edge engages around the edge on the boot floor, such that during the engagement, preferably the lower section 31 of the holder tongue 3, the top box fixed on the luggage rack 7 is attached. For this, a very good cornering through in the guide grooves 71 of the bridge 7 lies, appropriately designed, rib-like approaches and through the luggage rack 7 ensures round enclosing edge. The actual mounting is is achieved by the viewed in the direction of the front edge area on the underside of the motorcycle suitcase as well as by the introduced in the shaft and there locked bracket tongue third
