Modular components for assembling office furniture.

The present invention relates to office furniture and proposes to create a set of modular elements that can enable the implementation of a large number of combinations that allow a more pleasant and efficient. This furniture seeks to meet the functional, ergonomic and aesthetic.

This object is achieved by the set of modular elements for office furniture constitution according to the invention is distinguished in that it comprises at least a first member having a hexagonal plate whose two opposing angles are 90 ° , the other angles are 135 ° and of which all sides have the same length; and at least one second member having a square plate whose side length is equal to that of the sides of the hexagonal plates of the first member.

The accompanying drawing shows schematically and by way of example an embodiment of some elements of the set according to the invention as well as various combinations thereof to form office furniture.<ul><li>1 illustrates in perspective a first hexagonal plate member.</li><li>2 illustrates in perspective a second square plate member.</li><li>Figure 3 shows in perspective a third element quadrilateral plate.</li><li>Figures 4-12 illustrate various office furniture's, work tables, conference tables or personal offices for one or more persons, obtained by the combination of elements as shown in Figures 1-3.</li><li>Figures 13 and 14 illustrate top and side a combination using a variant of the basic elements.</li></ul>

The set of proposed elements comprises three basic components illustrated in Figures 1 to 3.

A first element comprising a plate 1 hexagonal which two opposite angles <u>at</u> are equal to 90 ° whereas the other angles <u>b</u> are equal to 135 °. All the sides of the hexagonal board 1 have an identical length.

This plate is fixed to two legs 2 in the illustrated example, the height may be adjustable by a telescopic system as shown in Figure 14, having a foot 3 resting on the ground and a tube 4 attached to the tray 1 and slide in the central tube 5 of the double base which can be attached to it in different positions to adjust the height of the plates 1.

Alternatively, there may be provided a single frame using a tripod, for example.

A second element comprises a square plate 6 whose sides have a length equal to the sides of the hexagonal board 1 of the first element. This second element comprises a base having a tripod 7 resting on the ground. As illustrated in Figure 14, this base can also be adjustable in which case it comprises a tube 8 attached to the sliding plate 6 in the central tube of the underframe 2 and can be fixed at different heights.

A third element illustrated in Figure 3 comprises a plate 9 quadrilateral comprising two opposite corners <u>c</u> equal to 45 °, the other two angles <u>d</u> being equal to 135 °. Three sides of the plate 9 are equal and have a length equal to the length of the sides of the hexagonal plates 1 of the first member and the square plate 6 of the second member. This third element therefore has a plate 9 which is exactly half of a hexagonal plate 1.

In practice, the equal sides of the plates 1, 6 and 9 are 66 cm. length.

By simple juxtaposition of a number of elements of the three types described above, it is possible to perform multiple conference tables of different shapes and dimensions. Figures 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 illustrate full tables of different sizes and Figures 6, 10 and 11 tables with central void.

Figures 13 and 14 illustrate top and side a configuration in which an intermediate element 12, here the square element, has no legs but is attached to the adjacent elements by means of runners 11, brackets or any other means attachment.

Obviously hexagonal or quadrilateral intermediate elements may be provided, also without base and intended to be fixed between two adjacent elements which present fixing means for this purpose.

It is obvious that combining the elements described above, you can also create open-plan offices.

It is interesting to see that using three basic elements and three intermediate elements of the same shape as the basic elements but without base, we can create any office furniture needed for a large company; individual offices, managerial offices, conference rooms, etc. and more particularly functional furniture, ergonomic and aesthetic at the same time.
