Method for loading vehicles on railway wagons.
Abstract
1. Process for the loading of vehicles onto railway wagons, the latter being moved by means of a shifting wagon (25, 27) from a branch track (5, 7, 9) onto a track section (19, 21) of a platform (13), which is displaceable transversely to the branch track, being loaded there with vehicles via a ramp (29, 31, 33) and, after displacement of the platform, being moved off onto another branch track, characterized by the following features : 1) Three branch tracks (5, 7, 9) are provided which have the same mutual distance in the region of connection to the platform (13). 2) Empty railway wagons are available on the two outer branch tracks (5, 9). 3) The platform (13) comprises two track sections (19, 21), arranged at the distance of the branch tracks, and two shifting wagons (25, 27). 4) The ramp (29) adjoins the platform (13) opposite the central branch track (7). 5a) The roll-on and roll-off and the loading of the railway wagons is effected in such a way that, depending on the momentary position of the platform (13), an empty railway wagon is moved onto the platform (13) either from the left or the right outer branch track (5 or 9) in a zip-type system and, at the same time, the railways wagon already situated on the platform between the ramp (29) and the central branch track (7) is loaded and then moved onto the central branch track (7). 5b) Subsequently, the platform (13) is moved in such a way that the empty railway wagon passes into the "loading position" and the free track section on the platform is thus inevitably located opposite an outer branch track (5 or 9) to receive an empty railway wagon.

The invention relates to a method for loading vehicles onto railway wagons according to the preamble of claim 1.
Vehicles are usually loaded onto railway wagons in such a way that they are driven over a single or double-decker ramp onto the railway wagons provided to accommodate vehicles. In order to completely equip the coupled railway wagons with vehicles, it is necessary for the individual vehicles to be moved over a large number of wagons until all the railway wagons are loaded. Moving the vehicles on the railway wagons, often over a distance of several hundred meters, is very uneconomical and involves a lot of noise. Because of the long distances, it is also necessary to bring the drivers of the vehicles back. Since it is usually not possible to cover the entire area, the drivers are exposed to all kinds of weather when they leave their vehicles. Especially in rain, ice and snow, getting off the railway wagons poses a high risk of accidents.
In order to create a stationary work place for the workers, a method has therefore been developed for loading vehicles onto railway wagons, in which they are pushed from a siding onto a section of track of a stage which can be moved transversely to the siding by means of a gypsy wagon, there via a ramp with vehicles loaded and after moving the stage to another siding.
The invention has for its object to develop a generic method so that the economy is significantly increased with simple means.
The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
The additional effort to carry out the method according to the invention consists only in the arrangement of a second track section on the existing stage. The loading device, which works according to the known method, also has three sidings, one of which is only used to accommodate sorted out empty railroad cars.
Characterized in that the stage used in the method according to the invention has two track sections, it is possible to push an empty railroad car onto the stage and at the same time already one when the marked supply of empty railroad cars on the outer sidings and the removal of the loaded railroad cars on the middle railroad track loading railway wagons on stage with vehicles and pushing them onto the middle siding. In practice it has been shown that loading with vehicles is faster than moving an empty iron. train wagons on stage. During the pushing on of the empty railroad car, it is therefore possible to load the second railroad car and at least to initiate the pushing-off process of the loaded railroad car.
In contrast to the known method, there is hardly any idle time for the operating personnel. In both processes, the operating personnel connect and disconnect the railway wagons and take on additional work (such as raising and lowering the upper loading area of the railway wagons, mooring the vehicles and swinging out or entering bridges on the railway wagons). All of these activities are advantageously carried out when the railway wagons are on the sidings and not on the stage.
The railway wagons are expediently pulled or pushed onto the stage by means of moving vehicles arranged on the stage at the end of each track section.
It is possible to provide only one ramp (or double-deck ramp for double-deck railway wagons) opposite the middle siding. In the same way, however, two ramps (or double-decker ramps) can be provided opposite the outer connecting tracks that feed the empty railway wagons. Depending on the structural conditions, the type of loading and other conditions, the provision of one or two ramps may be more advantageous. Instead of individual ramps, a (one or two-story) platform can be used, which ensures access at any point. It is of course also possible to provide three or even more track sections on the stage in connection with further connecting tracks. If an increase in the loading capacity, which is very high per se due to the method according to the invention, should nevertheless be necessary, then it seems more expedient to provide two platforms, each with two track sections.
Returning to the method characterized in claim 1 with three sidings, it can nevertheless be favorable to provide a fourth connecting track which is arranged in the connecting area to the stage at the same distance as the other connecting tracks. This creates the possibility of removing certain wagons from the actual procedure in special cases.
The method according to the invention is illustrated by the drawing and described in more detail below. It shows<ul id="ul0001" list-style="none"><li>1 is a plan view of a loading device with sidings,</li><li>Fig. 2 is a side view of the loading device and</li><li>Fig. 3 shows a schematic representation of the process when loading six empty railroad cars with vehicles.</li></ul>
Fig. 1 shows four equidistantly arranged sidings 5, 7, 9 and 11. All four sidings lead up to a stage 13, which is displaceable by two rails 15 and 17 across the sidings.
The stage 13 carries two track sections 19 and 21, which are at the same distance as the sidings and come close to the opposite sidings. The stage 13 also receives an operating unit 23 and two Verholwagen 25 and 27. By means of the two moving carriages, railway wagons parked on the sidings can be pulled onto the track sections 19 and 21 on the stage 13 and also moved back onto the sidings. The Verholwagen 25 and 27 can work on a hydraulic basis and are provided with devices for automatic coupling and uncoupling of the railway wagons (not shown). ,
In Fig. 1, a ramp 29 is also shown schematically, which is opposite the middle siding 7. Instead of the ramp 29 alone or additionally ramps 31 and 33 are conceivable, which lie opposite the connecting tracks 5 and 9 and are shown in broken lines.
FIG. 2 shows the loading device from FIG. 1 in a side view. This also shows a double-decker railway wagon 35 and vehicles which can be driven onto the railway wagon 35 via the ramp 29 (double-decker) in the position shown.
Finally, Fig. 3 shows a schematic representation of the loading process using six railroad cars. The single ones
Positions shown in the drawing are identified with the capital letters A to M and described in Table I below. In the drawing and in the tables, the railway wagons are labeled with the numbers 1 to 6 and the respective direction of displacement of the stage is indicated by an arrow.<ul id="ul0002" list-style="none"><li>In the table "empty on" means = an empty rail car is pulled onto the stage</li><li>"load" = load the railway wagon on the stage with vehicles</li><li>"fully off" = pushing the loaded railway wagon from the stage onto the middle siding<img file="EP0177705A2_D0001.tif" /><img file="EP0177705A2_D0002.tif" /></li></ul>
Table II shows the procedure (not shown in the drawing) if, instead of a ramp 29 opposite the central connecting track 7, two ramps 31 and 33 are used, which are opposite the connecting tracks 5 and 9.
