Railway wagon for carrying semi-trailers.
Abstract
1. A railway wagon for transporting semi-trailers having a load recess formed in the vehicle underframe for the semi-trailer wheels, said recess being at a lower level than the vehicle underframe longitudinal members, characterised in that the load recess (5) is formed solely by at least one trough-shaped metal plate (5a) which is curved, at least in the region of the base of the trough, and is connected to the outer longitudinal members (1a) at its longitudinal edges.

The invention relates to a railway freight wagons for the transport of semi-trailers with the vehicle undercarriage designed for the wheels of the semitrailer and opposite the longitudinal members of the vehicle undercarriage lowered loading pocket.
In order to transport the major European semi-trailer on the rail network, railway freight cars have been developed which have a relation to the longitudinal members of the vehicle undercarriage lowered charging pocket for receiving the wheels of the semitrailer, so that the maximum vehicle height of four meters owning semi-trailer within the predetermined clearance profile can be transported. Because over the wheels of the semitrailer at least half the weight of Sattelanhänaers is transmitted to the railroad freight cars, the lowered loading pockets must be formed correspondingly stable. The previous designs have for this purpose below the loading pocket bottom a drawn under truss from girders. Through this Sprengwerk the ground clearance of the railway freight car is reduced in connection with the respect to the longitudinal members of the vehicle undercarriage lowered loading pocket, so that the known structures do not possess the Fährbootfähigkeit required particularly for the Scandinavian countries, a navigability of Fährbootrampen with a ramp angle of 2 ° requires 30 minutes. Also in the Alpine countries, particularly Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France and Yugoslavia, the use of known railway freight wagons for the transport of semi-trailers is limited, since not all existing tunnel or track superstructures enable transport of semi-trailers with a maximum of four meter vehicle height on the known freight cars constructions ,
The invention had the object, formed the famous railway freight wagons for the transport of semi-trailers with the vehicle undercarriage for the wheels of the semitrailer and opposite the longitudinal members of the vehicle undercarriage educate lowered loading pocket such that on the one hand reaches the Fährbootfähigkeit other hand, a further reduction of the footprint for the wheels of the trailer is achieved.
The solution of this problem by the invention is characterized in that the loading pocket is exclusively formed by a trough-shaped plate, which is connected at its longitudinal edges with the outer sills.
By forming the loading pocket solely by a trough-shaped sheet eliminates the previously required using a solid under blasting work, which reduced the ride height of the railroad freight car and this made unsuitable for driving on Fährbootrampen. The omission of a certain height-demanding blasting work allows a further reduction of the footprint of the wheels of the semi-trailer, and that at the same time comply with the surfaces for Fährbootfähigkeit REQUIRED ground clearance. This eliminates the restrictions that were imposed on the previously known structures as regards the use in the Nordic countries and in the Alpine countries. Another advantage of this embodiment of the invention is that easier by eliminating the under-drawn blasting work of railway wagons and can be manufactured more easily, because there are fewer welding and straightening work required.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the loading pocket is formed by two juxtaposed in the longitudinal direction half-shells, which are supported in center of the car on a center longitudinal beam, which is clamped between two crossmembers of the vehicle underframe. This configuration results in a simple design at the same time effective strength of the split into two half shells loading pocket.
The trough-shaped plates of the loading pocket and the half-shells are curved according to another feature of the invention, at least in the area of the tank bottom, so that now tensile or compressive stresses occur instead of bending stresses in the loading pocket bases known in the material of the sheets, which are considerably easier to control. If the trough base of the charging pocket or half-shells arched downward, resulting in the transport of semi-trailers tensile stresses in the sheets; a bulge upwards has substantially compressive stresses in the sheets result.
A further simplification of the construction of railway freight wagon according to the invention can finally be achieved in that the longitudinal edges of the loading pocket and the half-shells forming plates are simultaneously configured as part of the longitudinal beam of the vehicle undercarriage according to the invention. This takes over the loading pocket a portion of the function of Untergestellangträger, bringing both a weight saving and a design simplification is connected.
In the drawing, two embodiments of the railroad freight car according to the invention are shown, namely show:

FIG. 1 is a schematic side view of a first embodiment of the railway freight car with a semi-trailer,

FIG. 2 is a plan view of the railway freight wagon according to FIG. 1, but without semi-trailer,

FIG. 3 is a vertical cross section through the railway freight cars at the loading pocket,

Fig. 4 is a side view of a second embodiment of a semi-trailer transporting railway freight wagon,

Fig. 5 is a plan view of the railway freight wagon according to Figure 4, but without semi-trailer and

Fig. 6 corresponding one of the 3 shows vertical cross-section through the second embodiment.

Both embodiments of the railroad freight car are shown as equipped with two bogies vehicles whose vehicle undercarriage 1 comprises two longitudinal members la and headpieces lb formed on the one hand to rest on the bogies and the other hand to hold the draw and buffer gear. In the region of the head pieces lb is also a cradle for the Auflagerzap fen 2 a semi-trailer 3 is formed with the wheels 4 in a rest against the longitudinal members la of the vehicle undercarriage 1 reduced charging pocket. 5
This loading pocket 5 is formed in the first embodiment according to the figures 1 to 3 by the entire width of the railway freight carriage extending, trough-shaped plate 5a, which is connected at its longitudinal edges with the outer longitudinal members la of the vehicle undercarriage 1, in particular in FIG .3 apparent. By eingestrichelte Helpline these 3 shows the curvature of the trough-shaped sheet 5a downwards, so that essentially tensile stresses occur at a load of this sheet 5a by a semi-trailer 3 in the plate 5a. The upwardly angled edges of the sheet 5a can also serve as guides for the wheels 4 of the trailer 3, as is also evident from Figure 3.
In the second embodiment according to the figures 4 to 6 the loading pocket 5 is formed by two half-5b, which are also curved in the embodiment of the bottom and connected at their outer longitudinal edges to the outer longitudinal members la of the vehicle undercarriage. 1 In the center of the car 5b half-shells are supported on a central longitudinal carrier lc, which in turn is clamped between two crossmembers of the vehicle underframe ld first This training is best seen in Figure 5 and Figure 6. A version without additional center sill is also conceivable.
The curvature of the loading pocket 5 forming sheets 5a and 5b half shells at least in the area of man soil occur in the material of the plates 5a bzω. Shells 5b train or compressive stresses, depending on whether the plates 5a and 5b shells upward or Convex. Such tensile or compressive stresses can be significantly better control than bending stresses, so that may be waived, to arrange below the loading pocket 5 blasting works, which reduce the ground clearance of the railway freight car. A further material saving is achieved that the longitudinal edges of the sheets are formed half-shells 5a and 5b at the same time as part of the longitudinal beam la of the vehicle underframe first The arching of the sheets can also be achieved by a finite number of folds of the sheets according to the desired curvature course.
