Flexible strip at the end of conductors on a printed-circuit foil.
Abstract
To facilitate the use of single-sided contacting connectors with film circuits that are printed on both sides, tongues are provided in the conductor path feeder strip which support the conductor path ends of the lower side of the film circuit and are flexible. By bending the tongues, the conductor path end on the lower side of the film is turned upwards so that all the conductor path ends are on the upper side of the film and can be inserted in a single-sided contacting connector.

p0001The invention relates to a flexible wiring outlet plate for printed circuit foils for pushing one side contacted plug.
p0002It is known to print sheets for circuit purposes on both sides with conductor paths, such that both the top side and the underside of the film having conductor tracks. The circuit traces terminate on a tab to which a plug is pushed. The plug is inserted in a coupling piece connected to the leads. When printed films for membrane switch (keypads), for example, the top of the film with contact surfaces and the associated conductor tracks is provided, while the bottom bears a shielding grid. previously plug were used for two-sided sheets which provide contact with both the conductor track ends on the upper side of the film and with the conductor track ends on the underside of the film. Connector for single-sided films may therefore in this case not be used, since in these plugs have any contacts for the strip conductor ends at the underside of the foils are provided.
p0003The object of the invention is therefore, the conductor leaving lug a double-sided sheet in such a way that can be placed on the tab and plug, which are intended only for single-sided sheets. This is according to the invention advantageously achieved in that there are at two-sided sheets tabs in the interconnect outlet flap carrying conductor ends and are bent over to be inserted into one side contacting plug.
p0004The bendable tongues according to the invention have the advantage that even when the double-sided circuit films, the simpler and cheaper one-sided contacting plug may be used. Thus, the storage of the connector is simplified because only one plug type is required for single-sided and double-sided circuit films.
p0005An advantageous development of the invention is seen in that the circuit a Abschirmnetz is on top of the film for a membrane switch and on the underside of the film, whose conductor track finish is printed onto a bendable tongue in the interconnect outlet flap. The tongue may be arranged centrally in the interconnect outlet flap and stamped on it. To expose the tongues U-shaped slots may be provided to facilitate the bending. The interconnect outlet plate and the tongues may be opposite to each other.
p0006Reference to the embodiment shown in the drawing, the invention will now be explained in more detail. It shows:

Fig. 1 to 5 the state of the art from which the invention proceeds, and

FIGS. 6 to 13, an embodiment of the invention.

p0007A known connector 1 for double-sided circuit film is shown in Fig l in front view and in Fig 2 in section along the line I -. I shown in Fig. 1.. Figs. 3 to 5 show the inserted into the connector 1 tab 2 a double-sided sheet 3.
p0008The connector 1 comprises the housing 5 and in this inserted double contact springs 6 with plug pins 7. Between the two resilient legs 8 and 9 of the double contact spring 6, the bracket 2 is inserted, so that either the upper arm 8 or with a conductor track end 10 on the upper surface the leg 9 with a conductor track end 11 3 comes in contact on the underside of the film.
p0009According to FIG. 3, the top of the film 3 interconnects 14 and contact surfaces 15 on a Membrane Switch (keypad) and the lower side in FIG. 5 a Abschirmnetz 16 with the associated conductor track end 11 and 18.
p0010The embodiment of the invention the conductor track finish tab 2 to Fig. 6 to 8 has a tongue 20 which is exposed through a punched U-shaped slot 21 and is opposed to the flap 2. The underside of the tongue 20 has the conductor track end 22 of Abschirmnetzes 16th If the tongue 20 folded to form a loop 23, then the conductor track end 22 comes upward, and it can be contacted on one side connector 24 are used as this blank 9 Figs. Recognized to 13. Fig. 9 shows the unilateral contacting plug 24 in front view, and Figure 10 in section along the line X -.. X of Figure 9. The connector 24 has a multiply angled contact spring 25, the resilient leg 26 protrudes 27 of the plug housing 28 in a slot and contact with the conductor track ends 10 on the conductor outlet flap 2 are. The contact springs 25 run out in connector pins 30 that are inserted in a not shown coupling piece with the leads. As is apparent from Fig. 11 to 13, also the conductor track end 22 to the folded over to form a loop 23 located tongue 20 of the resilient leg 26'einer in the center of the one side plug 24 contacting the contact spring 25 is touched. The conductor end 22 communicates via a transverse conductor track 31 with the on the underside of the printed film 3 applied Abschirmnetz 16 in connection.
p0011It is understood that the invention is not limited to the embodiment illustrated in the drawings and described above. Rather, there are manifold changes and modifications in the design of the interconnect outlet flap and the design and arrangement of the tongues, without causing the framework of the invention.
