Combined protective fault-current switch and protective circuit breaker.
Abstract
The invention relates to a combined protective fault-current switch and protective circuit breaker (1), the individual poles (3) of which are allocated to magnetic trip devices (2) for tripping in response to short-circuits, and which operates with an electronic amplifier (8) for tripping in the event of a fault current. According to the invention it is provided that the magnetic trip device (2) is provided with two windings: a first winding (6), which is connected in the line of the conductor (3, 4) to be monitored, and a second winding (7), which is connected to the amplifier output (18).

p0001The invention relates to a combined residual current and miniature circuit breaker whose individual poles Magnetic release are assigned for short trip and working with an electronic amplification to trigger the fault current case.
p0002In such on the market circuit breaker for tripping fault current in case an additional relay is required, which is controlled via an electronic amplifier. In general, it can then either be opened via a switching mechanism all the switching contacts or act on a switching contact pair and open the pairs of switching contacts of the other pole via a mechanical coupling in such a circuit breaker. Here, in addition to the separate relay requires additional components for the action on the switching mechanism or for the coupling. Such measures will also require additional space, which is reflected in more complex cases.
p0003The invention is based on the object, a combined circuit breaker of the type described further so that it requires fewer components and with less space.
p0004The solution of the mentioned task is that the magnetic release is provided with two windings: a first winding which is switched to the cable run of the monitored conductor and a second winding, which is connected to the amplifier output. Thereby the already required magnetic release is used twice and it is not necessary an additional relay to trigger the fault current case. Such a circuit breaker can be accommodated because of the savings in additional relays for the residual current tripping in a lower housing volume.
p0005The invention will be described by way of the drawing very schematically represented embodiment:

The combined circuit breaker 1 according to the drawing has a magnetic release 2 for short trip and an electronic amplifier 8 to trigger the fault current case. The monitoring at the conductor, an outer conductor 3 and a neutral conductor 4 are carried out by a summation current transformer. 5 In the exemplary embodiment, a single-pole circuit breaker is illustrated.

p0006The magnetic release 2 is provided with two windings, a first winding 6 that is, switched to the cable run to be monitored conductor, the outer conductor 3 and the neutral conductor. 4 A second winding 7 of the magnetic release 2 is connected to the amplifier output 18th
p0007The armature 9 of the magnetic release 2 is connected to a switching mechanism 10 via connection means 11 engaged connection. If the switching mechanism 10 is unlatched, the switch contact devices 12 and 13 are opened via the connecting eleventh Each of the switching contact devices, a fixed contact piece and a movable contact piece exhibit. In the embodiment with an outer conductor 3, on the network side bears a phase, a single-pole circuit breaker illustrated.
p0008In a short circuit, the excitation leads in the first winding 6 for response of the magnetic release 2 and in a fault current case, the excitement in the second winding. 7
