4 claims: 2 independent, 2 dependent

  1. 1
A heating control- apparatus for a cooking oven with a heating chamber (4), means (1) for heating the food disposed in said heating chamber (4), blower means (6) for ventilating the air in said heating chamber (4), a vapor sensor (31) placed in the flow of the exhaust air from said heating chamber (4), means (30) for determining the heating time To on the basis of the formula T o =T 1 +T 2 including means (34, 36) for counting the time T 1 required from the heating start to the detection of vapor liberated from the food by said vapor sensor, said time T, being proportional to the weight of the food, means (37) for calculating the time T 2 required from the detection of vapor by said vapor sensor to the end of heating by multiplying the counted timeT, by a constantK and means (18, 26, 38) for accomplishing the heating control in accordance with the heating time thus determined;characterised in that said means (30) for determining the heating time include further means (36) for storing the counted time T 1 . means (35) for storing the relation between said time T 1 for each type of food and the constant K obtained by cooking tests in advance means (30) for selecting the constant K related to the time T 1 counted by said counting means, and calculating the time T 2 by multiplying the counted time T 1 with the selected constant K.
  2. 2
A heating control apparatus according to Claim 1, in which said means (34, 36) for counting the time T, performs the counting operation by counting basic units of a power frequency.
  3. 3
A heating control apparatus according to Claim 1, in which said means (30) for determining the heating time comprises a microcomputer.
  4. 4
A method of controlling the heating time T 0 in a cooking oven on the basis of the formula T 0 =T 1 +T 2 wherein T, is the time from the heating start to the detection of vapor and T 2 the time from the detection of vapor to the end of heating; comprising the steps of:counting, the time T, required before vapor sensor (31) detects vapor liberated from the food to be cooked, storing the counted time T 1 . selecting a constant K specific to the food corresponding to the time T 1 on the basis of a predetermined relation between the time T, and the constant K obtained by cooking tests in advance, calculating the time T 2 required from the detection of vapor to the end of heating, on the basis of multiplying the time T 1 counted as above by the constant K, and ending the heating upon the lapse of the time lengths T 1 plus T 2 from the heating start.
