To eliminate desi overturning moment on vehicles, especially on motor vehicles, it has been proposed to provide for each pair of wheels located in the plane transverse to the direction of articulated quadrilateral, which connects the transversely to the direction of swinging arranged car body frictionally with an inclination of the wheels on the side handlebars of the four-bar linkage are stored. The four-bar linkage is in every situation a rigid truss on which the car body rests resiliently. This has the disadvantage that all bearings and items must transmit the driving strokes. The consequences are poor driving characteristics and materially unfavorable dimensioning of the four-bar linkage to maximum stress.
The invention eliminates these disadvantages in that the upper ground parallel handlebars of the four-bar linkage is a leaf spring or a leaf spring bundle and the lower ground-parallel link is rigid and ao the side links are flexible in their length, so are variable.
The four-bar linkage is therefore not rigid. The wheels are connected in accordance with a further feature of the invention with the trained as a shock absorber side links that all shocks are transmitted to the spring via these shock absorbers.
The design according to the invention also includes the advantages of the suspension axis suspension known in motor vehicles.
In order to prevent the centrifugal effect in motor vehicles, the inclination of the car superstructure and the wheels has already been proposed in the way that the four-bar linkages, where body and wheels are arranged to have two leaf spring bundles as the lower and upper bodento parallel handlebars. This design has the disadvantage that the wheels wobble laterally when yielding the springs, so that scrubbing movements of the tires on the ground or with correspondingly strong bottom friction lateral spin of the car are the result, since the side arms of this known design are not variable in length, can a displacement of the four-bar linkage only with simultaneous reduction of the distance between the two ground-parallel handlebars done. When erecting the car in the straight-ahead position thereby the weight of the superstructure must be lifted, and in the straight-ahead position of the superstructure with its weight has the desire to lay the car at an angle.
In the embodiment of the invention, this change in the distance of the ground-parallel handlebar is not necessary when tilting, because the side arms are variable in length. The four-bar linkage according to the invention is therefore stable with respect to the weight of the carriage in each position. It is sprung without the wheels make wobble when yielding the suspension.
For damping the inclination of the further feature of the invention according to known compensation spring is provided.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown. It shows
Fig. Ι the front view of the four-bar linkage in the usual position of the car body and wheels, Fig. 2 shows the front view of the four-bar linkage with inclined car body and wheels.
The four-bar linkage for each pair of wheels consists of two parallel control links, the lower 1 and the upper 2 and the two side links 3 and 4. At the two side links 3 and 4 sit the axles with the wheels 5 and 6. The four-bar linkage carries a gear box 8. The lower ground parallel handlebar 1 is slidably mounted to the gearbox transverse to the direction of travel. The bearings are designated 9.
The upper ground-parallel link 2 is a leaf spring and is firmly connected to the gear box 8.
On the gear box 8, the car body rotation axis 11 is mounted, on which the car body 12 hangs.
On the axis of rotation sits the gear segment 13,
over the Stirnradpaar 14 on the spur gear 15 (both wheels are mounted in the gear box 8) acts. The spur gear 15 acts on a rack 16 which is fixed to the lower arm 1.
The car body is suspended on the axis of rotation 11 so that its center of gravity is below this. Is under the influence of centrifugal force when cornering or under the. Influence of gravity, z. B. when driving on transverse to the direction inclined plane, the car body pivoted about its axis of rotation in the direction A of Fig. 1, then by the co-rotating wheel 13 via the wheels 14 and 15, the rack 16 in the direction I? and moved with her the lower arm 1 to the upper arm 2. The rectangular four-bar linkage becomes parallelogram-shaped (FIG. 2).
The length of the lateral links 3 and 4 is variable, and indeed in that they are formed shock absorber-like. As a result, the ground-parallel arm 1 and 2 can be moved in an inclined position of the four-bar linkage without changing their distance. The lateral links are in the illustrated embodiment in two parts. At the upper ground parallel handlebar a piston 25 is articulated for each seitliehen handlebar, which is slidably mounted in a hinged to the lower bottom 2 handlebars cylinder 26. A trapped by piston and cylinder damping fluid is used to dampen the wheel shocks and also the change in position of the side arm or the car body and the wheels.
Carrying means in the device according to the invention are only the upper link 2 and the upper part 25 of the lateral link 3 and 4, to which the wheel axle and the steering knuckle are attached. The lower parts of the links 3 and 4, the lower ground parallel handlebar 1 and the gearbox with gearbox 8 are only the change in position, without being exposed to the driving collisions.
In order to resiliently stabilize the rectangular setting of the four-bar linkage, compensating springs are provided. Each two in telescoping, telescoping tubes 27 and 28 with one acting on train and pressure coil spring are diagonally articulated in the four-bar linkage with one end on the lower ground parallel link i, with the other end on the upper ground parallel link 2.
Instead of the gearbox other suitable means for displacing the four-bar linkage may be provided.
