The invention relates to a multi-stage compressor set in which, despite the constant drive speed, a continuously variable delivery height is economically possible and the temperature of the conveyed air is largely high low Sollffirderhöhe even under intake temperature can be controlled. Because of these properties, the compressor set is particularly suitable for the pressure ventilation and air conditioning of high-altitude aircraft.
It is known to provide at high altitude for the occupants flameproof rooms and maintain in these living conditions in height by pressurization by means of compressed outside air of ground-like final state. Furthermore, methods and devices are known which regulate or regulate the quantity, pressure and temperature of the throughput air.
Will you; To reach very high heights, it becomes necessary to use multistage compressors. For this case, the invention proposes the series connection of compressors of certain kind, which complement each other in their different characteristics such that first the load of the individual compressors in the different altitudes automatically adjusts itself, that a certain amount of regulation takes place, that in spite of driving moderate coupling of the compressor economic FörderMhen.regelung feasible and finally the temperature of the conveyed air in any desired manner is controllable. For an advantageous use of axles in the aircraft should still be mitbestimmend that already on the ground all compressors can run at full speed and neither switching mechanisms are required in the mechanical drive or in the delivery lines of the compressor. This allows a space and weight-saving design and high reliability can be achieved. Only for temperature control is it necessary to operate a throttling device in the cooling air duct of a heat exchanger. For particularly high demands, there is another throttle body. in, add to the suction line of a compressor. However, it is also possible by coupling both throttle bodies simple operation or automatic actuation.
The construction according to the invention and the operation of a deraxtigen system will be explained in two embodiments. In Fig. I schema.-table is a pressure-resistant and heat-insulated passenger compartment A. (Höhenkammer) shown in an airplane whose engine B by means of a PTO C via a transmission gear D a centrifugal compressor E and a Rootsverdichter F for the breathing air supply and heating the altitude chamber constantly drives. The breathing air is sucked in at G by the suction line H from the outside, compressed by the Kr6selverdichter E and, then. fed through the heat exchanger J the suction port K of the Roots compressor F. The Roots compressor F conveys the breathing air via the check valve L lind the manifold M into the chamber A. In the chamber A, the desired pressure by a pressure regulator N is maintained. The Wärineatistauscher J serves as a cooler for the breathing air. The Kühlluftinenge 'can be controlled by the throttle valve 0 via a remote control F from the chamber -by a Handliebel Q. Finally it is-still. in Sangleitung H of, centrifugal compressor E, a throttle valve R "which is kept open under the action of the tension spring S and are affected by the trained as Überholgestänge remote control P only when the throttle valve 0 is closed in the cooling air line of the heat exchanger J.
The system according to Fig. I works as follows. The Krelselverdichter E will already have on the ground one of its drive speed corresponding Föriderhöhe, record a certain drive line and provide heated air. Since the throttle valve R arranged in the suction line H is open, the gradient created by the centrifugal compressor E on the pressure side will drive the Roots compressor F as a compressed air motor. A part of the drive power of the centrifugal compressor E is daduTch recovered. and also, part of the temperature increase by the relaxation in Rootsverdichter F made up for. If, in the heat exchanger J, the air conveyed by the centrifugal compressor is additionally cooled, then, after the Roots compressor, it is possible to obtain temperatures below the intake temperature of the centrifugal compressor. This option will be used especially on hot days or in a tropical environment when flying Z> near the ground. In order to be able to achieve a sufficient cooling effect even when running the ground, a special cooling fan T is provided in Fig. 2 in the K_ühlluftleitung the Wärmeatistauschers 1. On the other hand, in a colder area or in winter, there will also be a case of wanting to send very warm air into the chamber on the ground or in the ground. Then close, (Fig. I) by pressing the hand lever Q, first the throttle valve 0 and continue the throttle valve R until the desired temperature at the chamber entrance is achieved.
In a climb to high altitude of Rootsverdichter F will initially work as a compressed air motor and depending on the heating demand of the chamber more or less work on the transmission D and only from a certain height gradually as II. Compressor stage, are helastet. All processes take place without sudden transitions, and neither monitoring nor operation is required, only Jie. Temperature of the air is to be regulated by hand or automatically.
In Fig.:2 has been dispensed with the arrangement of a special centrifugal compressor as Atemluftverdichter and provided the aircraft engine loader U as I. Compressor stage. The breathing air is branched off from the charge air on the pressure side by a secondary line V and two parallel Rootsverdichtern F, and F2 zug'efÜhrt, for more effective cooling is the heat exchanger 1 here upstream of a cooling fan T, which receives its drive W from the Zapfwel # le C. The two Roots compressors have been chosen to deliver larger volumes of air.
In addition to the examples shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, numerous other possibilities of arrangement are conceivable. In a three-stage compressor set z. B. as the first stage of the aircraft engine loader, as II. Stage a special centrifugal compressor and as III. Roots # level, he / she is to be ruled out.
