description
The present invention relates to a protective cover for the saw blade of circular saws according to the preamble of claim 1.
Known protective covers for smaller circular saws are made of heating and mounted in a specific position on the riving knife of the circular saw. If the riving knife is also adjusted according to the set depth of cut along a circular arc, then the guard moves away from its ideal position relative to the saw blade, which is not only because of deteriorating thereby mechanical protection even then
is disadvantageous if one remembers to suck the accumulating sawdust.
Known protective covers for large circular saws having a suction are mounted above the circular saw table on a large boom, with the help of which they can be placed on the circular saw or the saw blade in the correct position. This is a relatively expensive construction. Furthermore, the handling is somewhat cumbersome and it is not guaranteed with certainty that the guard, as it meets the requirements, is also arranged in operation over the area of the saw blade every time.
Object of the present invention is. To improve a protective cover for the saw blade in particular of small circular saws so that the protective cover suitable for a chip evacuation and that it is always guaranteed and for an always consistent mechanical protection against the saw blade, that the guard can take their ideal position to the saw blade.
i.jr solution to this problem, the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1 are provided with a protective hood of the type mentioned.
Thus, the protective hood according to the invention is designed such that it can be fastened in a simple manner on the already present splitting wedge of the circular saw and relative to the depth of cut
and the blade used to prevent a narrowing of the kerf, can be adjusted so that the protective cover can assume its ideal position relative to the saw blade in order to achieve the best possible protection of the user and the best possible extraction of the chips.
An essential adjustment of the protective hood is given by the features of claim 2.
A structurally simple solution of the attachment of the guard on the riving knife or the adjustability of the guard relative to the riving knife results from the features of claim 3 and / or 4 and / or claim 5.
A user-friendly attachment of the suction nozzle to the protective cover results from the features of claim 6.
By the features of claim 7 and / or 8, an optimal suction of the accumulating sawdust is guaranteed, as on both sides of the area covered by the protective hood area of the saw blade takes place '', so that the occurrence of nasal carcinomas in the user are extremely unlikely.
The subject of the invention is likewise a circular saw provided with such a protective hood. ,
Further details of the invention are the following
Description in which the invention with reference to the embodiment shown in the drawing is described and explained in more detail. Show it:

The illustrated in the drawing according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention protective hood 11, which is preferably made of plastic, is used to protectively cover a portion of the corresponding depth of cut over the working surface 14 of a machine table 13 e4~?r Circular saw 10 outstanding area of a saw blade 12.
The protective cover 11 is attached to the upper end of a likewise projecting beyond the working surface 14 of the machine table 13 end of a splitting wedge 16 movable and adjustable. The splitting wedge 16 is in the cutting direction A

behind the saw blade 12, which can be driven in rotation in the direction B, is fastened to the machine table 13 below the working surface 14 in a manner not shown in detail. The splitting wedge 16 serves to avoid a narrowing of the kerf of a workpiece to be sawn from, for example, wood, so that a continuous and uniform sawing of the object is ensured. The riving knife is approximately crescent-shaped, has an arcuate contour on the inside and is provided with an open from below arcuate Verstellschlitz 17 by means of which the riving knife 16 on a bolt 18 od. Like. According to double arrow C relative to the machine table 13 so adjustable that he is adjustable according to the set depth of cut and / or according to the diameter of the saw blade 12 used.
The protective hood 11 has a hood part 22 provided with a cavity 21, which merges into a handle-like fastening part 23 at its one end. By means of the fastening part 23, the protective cover 11 is attached to the splitting wedge 16. For this purpose, the fastening part 23 of the protective hood 11 has a longitudinal slot 24 which receives a portion of the upper above the working surface 14 of the machine table 13 protruding end above the contactor 17 of the splitting wedge 16 formed like a sheet metal. This part of the upper end 26 of the splitting wedge 16 is provided with a slot-like recess 28 arranged at right angles to the adjustment slot 17 and running parallel to its upper edge 27. Longitudinal slot 24 arranged holes 31, 32 in the fastening part 23 of the protective hood 11 and the slot-like recess 28 of the splitting wedge 16, the threaded shank of a screw 33 is arranged on a nut 34 is screwed such that the upper end 26 of the splitting wedge 16 in the longitudinal slot 24th can be held clamped. In this way, the protective cover 11 can be locked on the splitting wedge 16. An adjustment of the protective hood 11 on or relative to the riving knife 16 is possible in several respects. First, the protective cover 11 can be pivoted about the nut connection 33, 34 and, on the other hand, with the aid of the latter, moved along the slot-like recess 28 on the splitting wedge 16. The pivotal position of the protective cover 11 on the splitting wedge 16 can be determined by an adjusting screw 36 which can be screwed into a nut 37, which is held stationary in the course of a bore 38 and transversely thereto. The mother 37 may, for example. be injected into a protective cover 11 made of plastic. The bore 38 extends from the outer side 39 of the fastening part 23 in its transverse center plane and in the region of the longitudinal slot 24 and is formed, so to speak, as a blind hole. As a result, the adjusting screw 36 reaches with its inner free end on the upper edge 27 of the splitting wedge 16, so that depending on the screwing of the adjusting screw 36, the protective cover 11 is more or less pivotable about the screw 33.
Above the fastening part 23, an intake 41 is arranged in the hood part 22 from the outside, in the

Cavity 21 opens. The cavity 21 is divided by a partition wall 42, so that between the partition wall 42 and the outer wall 43 of the protective hood 11, an air duct 44 substantially parallel to the top of the protective hood 11 results. In this air duct 44 of the intake manifold 41, which od in a manner not shown with a suction fan. Like. Connected. At the end opposite the intake port, the air duct 44 leaves behind the end of the partition wall 42 and back through an angle of more than 270 °, so that it passes below the partition wall 42 with an orifice 46 which is substantially offset from the air duct 44. The orifice 46 is arranged approximately in the region of that part of the saw blade 12 during its rotation protective covering cavity 21, which lies in the cutting direction A in front of the saw blade. In a transition region of the intake 41 to the air duct 44, the partition 42 is provided with a recess 47 such that it forms a second connection between the intake 41 and that portion of the cavity 21 which receives the corresponding portion of the saw blade 12. The suction of sawdust is thus initially through the mouth 46 and the air duct 44 due to the negative pressure in the intake 41st In this suction, a suction effect is generated at the second connection between the saw blade area and intake 41 in the form of the recess 47, so that sawdust on both sides of the partition wall 42 and thus on both sides of the area of the saw blade 12, the working surface 14 of the machine table thirteenth protrudes, be sucked off. Although in the

Drawing as intake 41 a tube inserted into a hole is shown, it is understood that in the manufacture of plastic this intake 41 may be provided integrally starting from the air duct 44.
