Dental impression tray provided with a resilient dividing bead. The invention relates to a, a resilient separating bead possessing impression tray for dental purposes and is that a extending over the more curved portion of the separating bead, the suspension of the spoon parts enabling joint is provided.
In the drawing, various embodiments are shown, in which: Fig. R is a plan view of the spoon for partial impression taking with the corresponding cross sections, Fig. 2 is a plan view of the whole impression tray, Figure 3 is a schematic cross section along line II in Fig.2 ,
In Fig.; F is shown in cross-section, as the imprints wet around the tooth.
Fig. 5 and 6 are further embodiments in plan and cross section. The spoon is provided approximately in the middle of the bottom i with a separating bead 2, which adjusts to the curvature of the jaw section. To a good springs of the inner part 3 to the outer part q. To achieve the impression tray or to facilitate the levering of the individual parts against each other, the separation bead according to the invention is divided at the more curved points, so that a gap 5 is formed. Before pouring into this spoon, the pulpy impression mass, the joint 5 is closed by soft wax, so that the game of Trennwulstränder not affected against each other, however, an entry of the impression material is prevented in the joint.
The thus prepared and filled with impression material spoon is pressed with the handle 6 against the jaw, from whose teeth an impression is to be taken and held there until the impression material is fully hardened. The dentist must grasp either with a suitable instrument or with both thumbs on the impression mass swollen over the upper edge of the spoon impression material and at the same time put another finger of both hands against the outer and inner bottom part 3 and 4. So he can pry the inner part of the impression of the outer part without the impression tray slides off the impression mass.
In this case, the impression material shatters above the separating bead, namely along its entire length, since the separating bead touches approximately the cutting edges of the front teeth or the molar surface of the molars (Fig. 4).
Are the two parts of the impression sufficiently wide-eyed, so you can remove the impression without any difficulty from the patient's mouth and then, since the separation bead 2 is resilient and thus the spoon, the individual parts of the impression intimately compresses again, an impression which can be readily used for further processing.
However, if one or the other edge of the spoon is not accessible, it is sufficient to pry only one of the edges, creating enough space is created to remove the impression from the mouth of the patient, since even when Abliebeln an edge already Blasting both impression parts from each other.
Of the embodiment just described, the spoon shown in Figure 2 differs in that branches off from the joint 5 a parting line 7 either only after the front or at the same time to the rear edge of the impression tray, which extends over the handle 8 of the impression tray and opens into a recess 9 of the handle 8.
In addition, this impression tray for complete jaw impression still has partitions io and ii (Figure 3), one of which is attached to the front spoon edge 12 and the other at the rear spoon rim 13.
With the parting line 7 in cooperation with the partitions io and ii of the hardened impression in three or four different parts - are decomposed, which are then compressed after removal in the same way again, as described in Fig. I. The procedure here is to first pry off one side of the front edge of the spoon and then the other side, with so much air being created that now the entire impression can be taken out of the mouth.
According to Fig. 5 and 6, the impression tray for complete jaw impression ia and ih is decomposed into two equal or approximately equal parts whose separation beads 2a and 2u are formed exactly as described in Fig. I. These parts ia and ibb also have partitions ioa and iob as well as iia and i 111 at their mutually facing end faces like the spoon according to fig. 2.
Different from the described embodiments according to Fig. I and 2 is that both parts ia and ib are housed in a holding spoon 14, which fits the outer shapes of the parts ia and ib exactly and protects both spoon parts against unwanted change in position.
When taking the impression both parts ia and il, housed in the teat 14, the joints are closed with wax and filled the impression compound. Then, the introduction of the parts ia and ib takes place with the holding spoon in the mouth; the holding spoon 14 remains in the mouth until the mass has hardened. Then it is removed by simply lifting off the parts ia and ib, whereupon the two parts ia and ibb are then removed from the mouth only in the manner described and reinserted into the holding spoon 14 for further processing, so that the impression is complete again.
