Brewery fermentation tank cleaner - which simultaneously cleans valve gallery
Abstract
The tank walls are cleaned by a high pressure spray from a ball rose at the top of the tank in the usual way. A branch pipe is tapped into the main feed, and leads into the valve gallery at the top of the tank with independent nozzles directed on the heads of the valves and onto the pressure switch. Reduction in cleaning down time and hence of prodn. overheads.

Process for cleaning fermentation tanks
The invention relates to a method for the purification of fermentation tanks, so mainly for breweries. The fermentation tanks, which have many valves and many faucet connections, are difficult to clean. With the present invention, a cleaning of the tank and the fittings connections at the same time to accomplish safely in Durchflußverfahren. In today's cleaning of pipelines they are cleaned in a simple Durchflußverfahren. However, this flow has the disadvantage that not all dirt traps are detected by the flow stream, such as in the flow through the various valves and fittings connections.
One helps oneself today by the fact that after the cleaning of pipelines as a precaution even later dampens or drives with hot water to destroy any bacteria nests.
Through the currently used Durchflußverfahren one has not the absolute safety of cleaning and, above all, this procedure is only possible with fermentation tanks with the use of many technical aids.

The present invention is based on the object to provide a method for the purification of fermentation tanks, in which one manages practically with a normal flow, on the other hand, but the last dirt corner is safe to capture.
This object is achieved in that the main stream of cleaning fluid as previously known, -in a spray ball passes, whereby the inner wall of the tank as known, is detected by cleaning liquid. According to the invention, this main stream of the cleaning liquid is now taken from a parallel flow with cleaning liquid flowing in a parallel pipe. This parallel pipe is guided under the most diverse valves and fittings and provided at the relevant points with spray nozzles. So you have the guarantee that all dirt corners are detected with targeted beam and, above all, you have the great advantage that you can drive the cleaning fluid into the fermentation tank with full pressure without valves and fitting connections are exposed to this full pressure, such as it is the case in the previously known Durchflußverfahren.
In the previously known Durchflußverfahren the valves and fitting connections would have to be secured against the cleaning liquid pressure, so that by this pressure, for example, the valves can not be opened, whereby then cleaning liquid gets into hostile lines.
In the present invention, once you have the full pressure on the spray ball for the tank interior cleaning and has in the parallel strand rush lower pressure, which can not open the valves, for example, and still passes with controlled liquid jet in the last corners. '
An embodiment is shown in the drawing.
In the tank 1 is in a known manner the spray ball 2 with their liquid jets a, b, c, d, e, f. The cleaning

Liquid enters at A through the valve 3 through line 4 in a known manner in the spray ball 2 a. The line 4 is tapped by a parallel tube 5s which is inserted into a valve tube 6. On this valve tube 6 sit a variety of valves, such as a vacuum valve 7, an overpressure valve 8, a sterile air valve 9 and a CO2Valve 1O5 In addition, for example, sits on the valve tube 6 as a valve, a pressure switch 11. The parallel tube 5 is provided with nozzles 12th9 13, 14, 15 and 16, which are expediently directed to the points to be cleaned. If the cleaning liquid now enters at A, the spray ball 2 is subjected to full pressure while the valves 7S 8, 9 and 10 and the pressure switch 11 in the valve tube 6 are protected from this high pressure and yet can be safely cleaned up to the last corner via the nozzles 12 to 16.
It is clear that this arrangement need not be perpendicular and that, for example, the line 4 does not necessarily have to be tapped through the tube 5, but that you could drive in the same process instead of parallel successive or intersecting. Appropriately for practical operation is a pre-assembly of the line 4 with the valve tube 6 on a flange 17th
