18 claims: 9 independent, 9 dependent

  1. 1
What is claimed is:1. A method of operating an electronic device in an analyte monitoring system, comprising: displaying a screen comprising a suggested calculated insulin dose based on a result of a first analyte measurement;exiting the screen before logging the suggested calculated insulin dose;permitting logging of the suggested calculated insulin dose for a predetermined period of time;and preventing logging of the suggested calculated insulin dose after the predetermined period of time.
  2. 4
The method of any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the screen is exited by powering the electronic device off.
  3. 8
The method of any one of claims 1 to 7, further comprising:receiving an indication to log the suggested calculated insulin dose;and 162 Date Reçue/Date Received 2024-03-11 associating the suggested calculated insulin dose with the first analyte measurement and with a time the first analyte measurement was performed.
  4. 10
An electronic device, comprising:a display;and processor circuitry operably coupled with the display and configured to: display a screen comprising a suggested calculated insulin dose based on a result of a first analyte measurement;permit, after the screen is exited and before the suggested calculated insulin dose is logged, a logging of the suggested calculated insulin dose if a predetermined period of time has not lapsed;and prevent the logging of the suggested calculated insulin dose after the predetermined period of time has lapsed.
  5. 13
The electronic device of any one of claims 10 to 12, wherein the processor circuitry is configured to display the screen configured for suggested insulin dose calculation if the analyte monitoring device is powered off and back on before lapse of the predetermined period of time.
  6. 14
The electronic device of any one of claims 10 to 13, wherein the processor circuitry is configured to save the screen if the analyte monitoring device is powered off while the screen is displayed.
  7. 15
The electronic device of any one of claims 10 to 14, wherein the processor circuitry is configured to display a screen that prompts for a second analyte measurement if the 163 Date Reçue/Date Received 2024-03-11 analyte monitoring device is powered off and back on after lapse of the predetermined period of time.
  8. 16
The electronic device of any one of claims 10 to 15, wherein the processor circuitry is configured to associate the suggested calculated insulin dose with the first analyte measurement and with a time the first analyte measurement was performed.
  9. 18
The electronic device of any one of claims 10 to 17, further comprising a memory operably coupled with the processor, the memory comprising a plurality of instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to:display the screen adapted for suggested insulin dose calculation based on the result of the first analyte measurement;permit, after the screen is exited and before the suggested calculated insulin dose is logged, the logging of the calculated dose if the predetermined period of time has not lapsed;and prevent the logging of the suggested calculated insulin dose after the predetermined period of time has lapsed.
