Abstract

Methods for purchasing of goods or services over the internet. A customer has a customer account set up at a bank with associated account information. The account information includes verification information for verification parameters, such as authorized computer identification, authorized delivery addresses, authorized global positioning satellite or other secure location information, authorized user identification, authorized telephone caller identification, and/or other account information. An order is placed by a user via an ordering computer which provides order information. Such order information includes verification variables used by the bank. Verification and/or authentication using one or more variables of the customer account information is used by the bank to validate the order before assuring payment to the merchant.

A method for authenticating or verifying a user computer in connection with an internet payment transaction between a customer and a merchant, comprising: accessing a computer device having a global positioning subsystem therein which produces a global positioning location of the computer device, wherein the computer device is associated with a first account;connecting between the computer device and a bank computer which receives the global positioning location from the computer device;comparing the global positioning location from the computer device to an authorized location using a processor, the authorized location being independent of the global positioning location;determining if the global positioning location matches the authorized location;determining that the computer device is authorized to conduct a payment transaction with the first account based on the determination of whether the global positioning location matches the authorized location using the processor;determining if the merchant is set up with the bank;if it is determined that the merchant is set up with the bank, conducting at least one transaction between the computer device and the merchant based on the comparison such that a payment is transferred between the first account and a second account without requiring an account number or other information that would enable a party to charge against the first account.

    A method for authenticating or verifying a user and a computer in a transaction over the internet, comprising:accessing a computer device having a global positioning subsystem therein which produces a global positioning location of the computer device, wherein the computer device is associated with a first account;identifying desired goods or services selected by a user of the computer device at a merchant internet site;associating a transaction identification during said identifying;receiving with a bank computer the global positioning location of the computer device and the transaction identification;comparing the global positioning location from the computer device with a delivery address associated with the user using a processor, the delivery address being independent of the global positioning location;determining if the global positioning location matches the authorized location;determining that the computer device is authorized to conduct a payment transaction with the first account based on the determination of whether the global positioning location matches the authorized location using the processor;determining if the merchant is set up with the bank;if it is determined that the merchant is set up with the bank, conducting at least one transaction based on the comparison such that the bank computer transfers payment from the first account associated with the user to a second account associated with the merchant internet site and associates the payment with the transaction identification without requiring an account number or other information that would enable a party to charge against the first account. 102 CA 02939482 2016-08-19

    A method for purchasing from a computer, comprising:accessing a computer device having a global positioning subsystem therein which produces changeable global positioning location of the computer device;identifying desired goods or services selected by a user from a merchant;associating a transaction identification during said identifying;receiving with a bank computer the global positioning location of the computer device and the transaction identification;comparing the global positioning location from the computer device with an address associated with a plurality of authorized locations provided by the user using a processor, the address being independent of the global positioning location;determining if the global positioning location matches the authorized location;determining that the computer device is authorized to conduct a payment transaction with the first account based on the determination of whether the global positioning location matches the authorized location using the processor;determining if the merchant is set up with the bank computer;if it is determined that the merchant is set up with the bank, communicating the transaction identification to the bank computer and 103 CA 02939482 2016-08-19 conducting at least one transaction between the user and the merchant computer based on the comparison and the transaction identification such that payment is provided from a first account associated with the user to a second account associated with the merchant without requiring an account number or other information that would enable a party to charge against the first account.
