What is claimed is:1. An algorithmic method for representing interactions in a representation of a system in ndimensional space, the method comprising: generating and electronically storing a database system comprising a logical data model having a data structure representing an organization of nodes for aggregating data entities and aggregating attributes of the data entities in a functional information system, the data entities representing elements of the functional information system as a network of heterogeneous components, wherein the functional information system represents a group of elements subdivided into ordered sets of fields, a plurality of which have a defined logical data model with respect to values that are used to characterize a plurality of elements;electronically storing a set of data entities as nodes in the logical data model, the data entities corresponding to elements of the functional information system;electronically assigning tags representing functional attributes of the elements to the set of data entities, wherein the functional attributes are properties of the elements of the functional information system and wherein the tags comprise standardized values represented as reference points in an n-dimensional space;wherein the reference points in the n-dimensional space comprise coordinate identifiers for the locations of elements in the functional information system representing at least one function of the set of data entities, and wherein the ordered set of fields in the logical data model is arranged with respect to functional, temporal or physical attributes of the elements;electronically storing the functional attributes in the logical data model as represented in the n-dimensional space;electronically accessing the database to associate two or more reference points in the ndimensional space to generate a functionally linked set, thereby representing a set of functional interactions among the corresponding elements in the functional information system;and creating an aggregated data entity in the database system that corresponds to the functionally linked set, the aggregated data entity having an aggregated set of functional, temporal or physical attributes, wherein the aggregated data entity or the aggregated set of functional, temporal, or physical attributes represents a new element of the functional information system that is associated with at least one location in the n-dimensional space CA 2906232 2020-04-02 established by the logical data model of the functional information system.
