An abdominal aortic aneurysm device having an anchoring portion with attached bifurcated legs for increasing the column strength thereof. The bifurcated legs comprise staggered stents so that nesting is possible during delivery.

An endoprosthesis comprising: a cranial section having a substantially tubular structure configured to anchor and seal the endoprosthesis within a vessel;a caudal section having at least two legs in fluid communication with the cranial section, the at least two legs each comprising a substantially tubular structure, and graft material attached to at least a portion of the cranial section and to the at least two legs thereby forming at least two fluid flow conduits, wherein the at least two fluid flow conduits are connected together along their length by sutures, where the sutures are (i) biodegradable, (ii) dissolve over time after being placed within the vessel, (iii) arranged in a manner that allows the at least two legs to move independently after the sutures dissolve.
