Method, system, and computer program product for performing prognosis and asset management services

Abstract

A method, system, and computer program product for performing prognosis and asset management services is provided. The method includes calculating an accumulated damage estimate (324) for a component via a diagnostics function (302-322) and applying future mission data (424) for the component to at least one model (406, 408) that calculates accumulated damage or remaining life of the component. The method also includes inputting the accumulated damage estimate (324) to the model (406, 408) and aggregating damage over time (410a, 410b) and quality assessments (412a, 412b) produced by the model (406, 408). The method further includes calculating a damage propagation profile (422) and remaining life estimate (420) for the component based on the aggregating and providing an uncertainty estimate for the damage estimate and the remaining life estimate.

CA 02571997 2016-01-25 RD165112-1 CLAIMS What is claimed is:1. A method for implementing an integrated prognosis system, comprising: calculating an accumulated damage estimate (324) for a component via a diagnostics function (302-322);applying future mission information (424) for the component to at least one model (406, 408) that is used to calculate at least one of accumulated damage and a remaining life estimate, wherein the future mission information comprises one or more of a power level angle, a mach number and an altitude, wherein the at least one model is tuned using sensor data from trials run on a lest rig, and wherein the tuning comprises: assembling data sequences representing only active operation of the test rig via a time-mapping function;removing data resets and negative trending outliers;and synchronizing specified sensor features to a common, uniformly sampled time vector;inputting the calculated accumulated damage estimate (324) to the at least one model (406, 408);aggregating damage over lime (410a, 410b) and quality assessments (412a, 412b) produced by the at least one model (406, 408);calculating at least one of a damage propagation profile (422) and the remaining life estimate (420) for the component based upon the aggregating;and providing an uncertainty estimate for the accumulated damage estimate (324) and the remaining life estimate (420) to a user.
