A topical composition comprising particulates comprising a first conductive material and a second conductive material

Abstract

The present invention features a topical composition comprising a first conductive material in electric communication with a second conductive material, where the difference of the standard potentials of the first conductive material and the second conductive material is at least 0.2 V and electricity between the first conductive material and the second conductive material are generated as a result of such difference of the standard potentials. The method of use of the topical composition in the treatment of skin conditions including acne or rosacea by applying electricity to skin in need of such treatment is also described.
