Communication between client and server computers via http, method, computer program product and system

Abstract

A client computer (900) and a servercomputer (901) communicate via HTTP; the clientcomputer (900) uses a standard HTTP-browser (2l0). Substantially simultaneously with establishing a sessionby allocating a resource (340) at the server computer(900), the server computer (900) sends a terminationinstruction (360) to the browser (210). The instruction(360) remains unexecuted in the browser (210) duringthe whole session. In the event that the server computer(900) terminates the session, such as upon unloadingthe instruction (360) from the browser (210); the browser(210) causes the server computer (900) to de-allocate theresource (340).
