DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The self-propelled cable transport system for people, used for aerial panoramic observation of the environment, described in this specification, will allow the economic installation and operation of cable suspended over rough terrain, such as mountains, jungles, ravines, rivers, forests , etc., with which a large number of people will be able to make observations, research and images of. environment, from an aerial panoramic perspective, in a safe and comfortable way, without requiring any previous training and / or the use of expensive mechanized equipment.
The system is essentially a cable suspended over the ground, using special supports, by means of which vehicles driven by the users' feet move, through these vehicles the user moves in the vicinity, in a safe and comfortable way, by the line, to observe the environment and transport yourself, from one place to another on the line, without having to stop at the cable anchor points.
The user has total control of the vehicle speed, being able to accelerate, brake and at will, always having both hands free so that he is able to take notes, take instant photos, etc.
5/10
The self-propelled cable transport system for people, used for aerial panoramic observation of the environment, consists of a cable (1), which allows the user to transport himself over any type of terrain, over which it is suspended. The gradient of the journey, extension and level and the way to adjust the route will vary according to the design of your trajectory and the different variables of the soil, on which it will be installed. The route consists mainly of a cable, preferably, of steel, which is extended along the route of the desired path, using supports that support and provide tension. Two types of supports were used: the side support bracket (2) and the opposite support bracket (3), which are attached to any available natural element, such as trees, rocks, etc., or, if necessary, to any type artificial element, such as posts, towers, buildings, etc. These supports allow the system vehicle (4) to move freely along the route, without the need to stop or make transfers at the cable anchoring locations (Figure 1).
The cable (1), once installed on the ground using the supports (2, 3) can be used by several vehicles (4) at the same time, having to limit its number according to the resistance of the natural or artificial elements which
6/10 the supports were fixed and with the specifications of resistance of the materials used in the construction of the same.
The vehicle (4), in which the user travels with his legs and feet, along the cable, has among its main elements: a frame made of a rigid material, such as welded metal (5) with an arm with hook-shaped top part (20), made of the same material; a seat with a backrest (6), in which the user can sit comfortably and recline his / her back.
This seat can be adjusted by sliding horizontally and vertically inside the vehicle frame, to adjust the sizes of the different users. This seat has safety straps, which secure the user in the vehicle, preventing accidental falls; a top part (ceiling) (7), designed to protect the user against possible impacts, from rain and sun, in addition to forming a barrier to prevent accidental contact of your head or hands with the grooved cable and blocks (13), this part of the topô can have different shapes and be made of different materials; two handgrip bars, one lower (8), placed on the seat, and one higher (9), fixed on the frame, which the user can use momentarily for stabilization or damping, if desired, without this being necessary to vehicle operation; a traction mechanism (11) with pedals, sprockets, chain and wheels
7/10 grooved, driven by the legs and feet of the user, which provides the driving force that moves the vehicle along the cable route, the pedals may have elements that allow them to be fixed at the feet of the user, and a braking system installed on the wheels grooved (13), which is actuated by a cable (10), located on the upper handrest (Figure 2).
The vehicle (4) hangs from the cable line by a hook-shaped arm (20), where the grooved wheels (13) and the suspension mechanisms (14) are, these elements, together with the vehicle frame (5), forming a security system to prevent it from being removed from the bulb line while in use. However, this versatile security system allows the vehicle to be easily removed from the cable when the user is not in it.
To remove it, it is necessary to take the vehicle, lift it up and keep it parallel to the cable (1), push it forward by a few centimeters, with which the vehicle will be released from the cable. This is possible because it has an open side (12) and precise distances from the grooved blocks (13), the suspension system (14) and the vehicle frame (5); this mechanism allows the vehicle to move freely by the supports, but, in case of jumping out of the grooves, the angle created by the vehicle, in relation to the cable (1), is sufficient for the vehicle,
8/10 aided by gravity, either stopped or stopped. on the cable (Figure 3).
The vehicle moves along the cable by means of two grooved wheels (13), with a rubber-coated bearing surface. One of the two is crazy, while the other provides traction, using a chain mechanism and sprockets driven by the user's feet (11).
The vehicle has a mechanism to properly hang the cable, consisting of a set of guides in the form of
V (14), which align the grooved wheels of the vehicle (13) with the cable (1), in case of incorrect alignment or jump off the track, this mechanism being placed on the bottom and on each side of the grooved wheels. This mechanism forms a V, which allows the vehicle to maintain optimal alignment with the cable, without using the moving parts. This mechanism is also designed to allow the vehicle to pass freely through the supports (Figure 4).
The L-shaped supports, supporting and providing tension to the cable route (1), are made of a rigid material, which is strong enough to support the weight of the cable and vehicles, such as, for example, welded metal. The supports, on their lower open sides, have a projection with a flange coupling flange (15), to support the cable (1).
9/10
The supports are fixed by means of two cables to any type of natural element available such as trees, rocks, etc., or, if necessary, to any type of artificial element, such as poles, towers, constructions, etc., the system uses two different types of supports, selected depending on the direction in which the cable route (1) will be arranged.
The support with lateral support (2) is connected to the tension cable (16) and to the positioning cable (17), on its closed side, that is, on the outside of the long side of the L, which allows the cable route to be pulled (1) towards the closed side of the support, making the cable route rotate in that direction. This is achieved by pulling the side tension cable (16). Once the said cable has been fixed, the positioning cable (17) allows the support to be adjusted, so that it remains straight, thus allowing the vehicle to pass.
The opposite support bracket (3) is connected to the opposite tensioning cable (18) on the open side or inside the long side of the L, and the positioning cable (17) is connected to its closed state, that is, that the part external side of the long side of the L, which allows the cable line to be pulled (1) towards the open side of the support, and making the cable route rotate in that direction. This is achieved by pulling the opposite tension cable (18). Once said cable is
10/10 fixed, the positioning cable (17) allows the adjustment of the support, so that it remains straight, thus allowing the vehicle to pass (Figure 6).
On their open sides, the supports have a shoulder, with a flange coupling flange, allowing them to support the cable (1). This coupling flagen surrounds the cable and fixes it to the support with screws (19). This flange coupling flange allows the brackets to be installed and removed, easily and quickly, from the cable, making it possible to maintain and repair the cable route in an efficient and economical manner (Figure 7).
The brackets, the safety mechanism, and the mechanism for proper suspension are designed to allow the vehicle to travel safely and continuously along the cable. The supports support the cable on the side, allowing the vehicle to pass. The mechanism to ensure adequate suspension passes above the support, while the vehicle frame passes below it (Figure 4).
From what was mentioned above, it can be said that the characteristics of the automotive cable transport system for people, used for aerial panoramic observation of the environment, are unique and exclusive to it, as these were not achieved by any other similar existing artifact.
