Abstract

"PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BISMUT DITIOPHOSPHORATES AND DITIOCARBAMATES". The present invention relates to a process for producing dithiocarbamate or bismuth dithiophosphorate by reaction with bismuth hydroxide, bismuth oxide or bismuth oxynitrate with a dithiocarbamate or dithiophosphoric acid. Bismuth dithiocarbamates or dithiophosphorates exhibit very good EP and anti-wear properties and are useful in lubricant formulations.
