Clamp with a clamping band with open ends and a device for mechanically joining the open ends of the band, characterized in that another of the hooks is a combined support and guide hook, said combined support and guide hook having an inclined guide and a support surface capable of initially engaging the corresponding opening of the outer band portion to guide the inner and outer band portions in relation to the other, while simultaneously absorbing clamping forces directed in the direction of the periphery, until the cold-deformed support hook comes into action to absorb the clamping forces, thanks to the engagement of its stop surface in the corresponding opening.
