Systems and processes for specifying customized telecommunication services

A method and apparatus for creating customized call processing information (CCPI) records to permit customized telephone services for individual subscribers to a telephone network. In particular, a data processing system (20) for designing a procedure to direct a telephone network to provide requested services to a customer of the network, preferably comprising a display terminal (48) for displaying a visual representation of the procedure; and a control device (40), coupled to the display terminal (48), for causing the display terminal (48) to display the visual representation based upon multilevel data, the multilevel data including a graphical representation level containing display information for the visual representation; a data structure level containing data, organized in data structures, which correspond to the display information; and a code level to implement the requested services, the code level corresponding to the data in the data structures.
