Non-toxic, microbicidal detergent

A non-toxic cleaning agent with biocidal and dirt-removing properties, which is used together with a solvent, contains at least one surface-active agent and phosphorus-containing bioactive glass particles. The glass particles preferably release at least 300 mug of alkali metal ions per gram, have an average size of less than 400 mum and contain SiO2, CaO, Na2O, CaF2, B2O3, K2O and/or MgO, as well as P2O5. These cleaning agents are particularly well suited for cleaning surfaces and textile materials, for use in dishwashing detergents and particularly in medical and food-serving establishments.
