System and method to support multicast routing in large scale wireless mesh networks

The system and method for the multicasting routing algorithm which functions at the base of a mesh network base are offered. An algorithm the access point which is a gateway node of the fixed base mutually connected to the global Internet through radio / cable trunk-line data service network, It chooses as a group of the local multicast group leader which forms a multicast group leader group. Each local multicast group leader is chosen by on demand one according to a local multicast group member's demand. Each local multicast group leader forms the local multicasting tree which makes a route this leader that connects all multicast group members related with AP. It becomes possible to perform effective adjustment which has unicast routing used as the foundation, and to use the predominancy of a fixed basic node according to the process of choosing and holding the local multicasting tree which makes AP a route. Therefore, the convergence time of a routing overhead and a multicasting tree is reduced. The method can support the large scale network where topology changes at high speed by the high-speed routing overhead converged and reduced.
