Method for analysing blood

Cartridge device (20) for analyzing blood comprising: a cell (9) having a receiving portion of blood (10) for holding a blood sample, a stirring device (19) for circulating said sample blood within said receiving portion of blood (10) and an electrode holder (14) having at least two electrodes (16, 24, 25, 26) for measuring the electrical impedance between two or more electrodes (16, 24, 25, 26) inside of the blood sample, wherein the electrode holder (14) is attached to the cell (9) so that one end (16a, 24a, 25a, 26a) of two or more electrodes (16, 24, 25, 26) form a detector unit (17a, 17b, 17c, 17d) for measuring the electrical impedance between two or more electrodes (16, 24, 25, 26) inside the blood sample, and wherein the opposite end (16b, 24b, 25b, 26b) of the two or more electrodes (16, 24, 25, 26) forms a connecting part male or female (21a, 21b, 21c, 21d) connectable directly to a plug or socket (22) to establish an electrical connection between the detector unit (17a, 17b, 17c, 17d) and an analyzer, and wherein the two or more electrodes (16 , 24, 25, 26) consist of a metal comprising a first material is copper or a copper alloy which is coated with a second material is silver, platinum or gold.
