Abstract

A method of cutting barbs on a suture, the method comprising providing a cutting blade (30) with a sharply polished first edge (31), passing the first edge (31) through and a suture to a desired depth and an angle desired to cut a beard, and characterized by making subsequently passing a second edge dull and rough (32) of the cutting blade (30) along the pre-cut beard and so scraped the inner surface of the beard .
